Since High-DPI is now always enabled, there's no reason to keep the code path for android.app.auto_screen_scale_factor. Also, based on the original commit message that introduced this code, the value of the property should have been true. QtLoader.java uses the 'cache.version' file written during self-installation to indicate whether re-installation is necessary. The 'cache.version' file, however, was being written at the start of installation, so its existence merely indicated that the installation was attempted. In the case of power loss during installation, the existence of 'cache.version' would prevent retrying installation on the next launch, so the bad installation was irrecoverable. From Android v23 onwards, some permissions such as Location permissions cannot only be granted via Android's Manifest files. An additional runtime check/request system was introduced which forces applications to prompt the user the first time a privileged function is called. Such user prompt responses are returned to the current application via the Activity.onRequestPermissionsResult(..) callback. This change add Qt API to nicely check & request permissions. For now this is private API which can be used to fix permission problems in other Qt compontents. Later Qt versions will introduce a public API to QtAndroidExtras.
