"Public" is used for sharing files with other users and "Templates" lets you add new files to the file creation desktop menu (for example in a file manager). An example use in a Qt application would be KDE's KIO having default icons for both directories. This patch adds the APIs QJniObject, QJniEnvironment, QJniExceptionCleaner based from private QtCore and QtAndroidExtras. The Jni interface is cross-platform which justifies the name, but currently, this API is used mainly for Android, and the naming comes generic without Android keyword to avoid any future limitation on supporting other platforms. Qt 5.12 is LTS and will continue to support older Android versions for a long time to come. This is to reduce the testing needed on outdated platforms and allow ourselves to use some newer APIs unconditionally in Qt. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If the QLoggingRegistry gets called as part of the static initialization phase, it would call into Android's QStandarPaths implementation, which assumed that the HOME env. variable was already set. Since the variable isn't set before main is called, QDir::homePath() returns the root path, which would be cached and always returned. With this fix we now call Android's getFilesDir() directly, which will always return the right path. Since the font locations are also relying on an environment variable being set, we no longer cache that either. Since we are managing the JNI environment we should not allow conversions without having the option of taking ownership of the local ref. This is now done by making the conversions explicit, i.e., local refs are converted through QJNIObjectPrivate::fromLocalRef() and global refs through the QJNIObjectPrivate's jobject constructor. This change breaks SC, but the API is private and no usage have been found outside QtBase. For actually storing settings, the roaming path should be used (CSIDL_APPDATA). Introduce new AppDataLocation to return that path and AppLocalDataLocation for the local path and deprecate DataLocation. [ChangeLog][QtCore][QStandardPaths] QStandardPaths now has new enumeration values AppDataLocation, AppLocalDataLocation to be able to differentiate between roaming and local paths on the Windows operating system. DataLocation is deprecated in favor of AppDataLocation.
