* wasm: add platform qsettingsLorn Potter2020-02-184-13/+275
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since the backend is async, the settings will not be ready to read/write instantly as on other platforms, but only be ready after the filesystem has been synced to the sandbox. This takes at least 250 to 500 ms. The QSettings status() or isWritable() can be used to discern when the settings are ready for use. This also fixes a crash in threaded wasm Task-number: QTBUG-70002 Change-Id: I080bdb940aa8e9a126d7358b524f32477db151b6 Reviewed-by: Morten Johan Sørvig <morten.sorvig@qt.io>

* QStorageInfo/Linux: resolve non-existent devices via /dev/blockThiago Macieira2020-02-091-3/+18
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | On systems with very simple boot sequences, the kernel will create a device called /dev/root and use that to mount the root filesystem. However, that doesn't actually exist in /dev and could cause confusion. So we try to resolve using /dev/block if the /dev entry does not exist but udev is in use (udevd has the string "/dev/%s/%u:%u"). [ChangeLog][QtCore][QStorageInfo] Improved discovery of device nodes on Linux if the /dev entry was renamed after the filesystem was mounted and udev is in use. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | It appears it's not implemented. [ChangeLog][QtCore][QLockFile] Suppressed the warning on QNX that said 'setNativeLocks failed: "Function not implemented"'. There is no difference in behavior: Qt will continue not to be able to apply an OS- level file lock, which means the lock could be accidentally stolen by buggy software. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The windows filesystemwatcher did not watch for attribute changes for directories (e.g. hidden flag) so it was not in sync with other backends. Fix it by adding FILE_NOTIFY_CHANGE_ATTRIBUTES to the watch flags when watching a directory. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Using wrappers for these macros is problematic when for example passing the -frewrite-includes flag to preprocess sources before shipping off to distcc or Icecream. It will also start producing warnings when compilers implement http://eel.is/c++draft/cpp.cond#7.sentence-2. See for example https://reviews.llvm.org/D49091 Both https://clang.llvm.org/docs/LanguageExtensions.html and the SD-6 document at https://isocpp.org/std/standing-documents/sd-6-sg10-feature-test-recommendations recommend defining '__has_foo(x) 0' as a fallback for compilers without the macros, so that's what we go for. There is no way to generate anything useful from a string that has null bytes in the middle. It's important to catch this early, as otherwise, for example, a QDir::exists() on such a path can return true, as the path is silently truncated. Extend the checks for empty file names to windows and add checks for null bytes. Change-Id: Ie9794c3a7c4fd57f9a66bdbbab8b45a08b6f9170 Reviewed-by: Thiago Macieira <thiago.macieira@intel.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Qt has traditionally considered Windows shortcut files equivalent to symlinks on Unix file systems. Because of NTFS symlinks, the interpretation of shotcut files as symlinks is confusing. In this change, QFileInfo treats shortcut (.lnk) files as regular files but can follow the pointed object. In addition, QFileInfo introduces a more comprehensive file type. So that applications can make well-informed decisions about how to treat a file system entry. Based on the implementation of QFileInfo::type(), two inline helper functions are introduced to QFileInfo. 1. isSymbolicLink, returns true if it points to a symbolic link. 2. isShortcut, returns true if it points to a shortcut. [ChangeLog][QtCore][QFileInfo] Introduce QFileInfo::type() to replace the isSymLink method. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Each call to reourceList() uses atomic operations to check whether resourceGLobalData has not expired, yet. Some functions already cached the value, but then went on to use the function directly afterwards. In some cases, this was due to the cached value being a pointer-to-const and the function later deciding to mutate the list. But all the code is safe from detaches, so this distinction need not be made. Standardize on caching, and using the cached value, except in functions which call it only once.
