| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When QFile::open is called with the NewOnly flag, the call will fail if the file already exists. As usual, if the file does not exist, it will be created. Like QTemporaryFile, there is a guarantee from the operating system that you are not accidentally creating a new file on top of an older file. When QFile::open is called with the ExistingOnly flag, the call will fail if the file does not exist. The ExistingOnly flag only provides new functionality when used with the WriteOnly flag. For ReadOnly it provides no change in functionality, as ReadOnly by itself already never creates. It turns out that most libc have a default fallback in that situation, which we didn't apply. This commit applies the default directly to findExecutable(), which seems sensible. [ChangeLog][QtCore][QProcess] Fixed a regression that made QProcess be unable to find executables when the PATH environment variable on some Unix systems wasn't set. This behavior should not be relied upon since many systems do not have sensible fallback values for PATH. [ChangeLog][QtCore][QStandardPaths] findExecutable() will now apply the default value for the PATH environment variable (as returned by the POSIX confstr(3) function or found in <paths.h>) if the variable isn't set in the environment. This change proposes qsizetype as new name for qssize_t to emphasize the readability of code over POSIX compatibility, the former being potentially more relevant than the latter to the majority of users of Qt. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Calling QCoreApplication::applicationDirPath() requires an app instance, but on Windows the implementation just relies on qAppFileName(), which does not require any instance. As resolving the standard paths could be needed before QCoreApplication instantiation, e.g. for categorized logging, we use qAppFileName() directly. We do that by detecting the subdirectory that was bind-mounted. /proc/self/mountinfo has been in the kernel since 2.6.26. Since btrfs was only added on 2.6.29, there is no loss of functionality for btrfs users. I've tested this with subvolume or mountpoint names containing spaces, tabs and newlines. | | |/ | |/| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The vast majority is actually switched to QRandomGenerator::bounded(), which gives a mostly uniform distribution over the [0, bound) range. There are very few floating point cases left, as many of those that did use floating point did not need to, after all. (I did leave some that were too ugly for me to understand) This commit also found a couple of calls to rand() instead of qrand(). This commit does not include changes to SSL code that continues to use qrand() (job for someone else): src/network/ssl/qsslkey_qt.cpp src/network/ssl/qsslsocket_mac.cpp tests/auto/network/ssl/qsslsocket/tst_qsslsocket.cpp Change-Id: Icd0e0d4b27cb4e5eb892fffd14b5285d43f4afbf Reviewed-by: Lars Knoll <lars.knoll@qt.io>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There were a couple of corner cases where doing setPort() would result in QUrl thinking that an authority was not present. Since the full URL parsing implies that a host is always present if the authority is present, then we also imply that setting the port number makes the host be present too.
