These hooks only worked reliably with LD_PRELOAD on Linux/GCC, on other
platforms they depended on what exactly the compiler optimizer is doing
as well as some nasty assembler rewriting to actually access them. The
new system uses a simple array of function pointers that can be set to
custom hooks by tools that need this (based on ideas from Andre Poenitz).
This also covers qt_startup_hook (similar problem), and the Qt version
number that Andre had asked for.

Removing symbols when defining QT_NO_DEBUG is a bad idea.
In this case it means that you can't compile corelib as a
release build and widgets as debug without getting an
undefined symbol.
Instead leave the method in the release build, but simply don't
call it.

This function has a flawed design. It was flawed when it was added in
Qt 3.0.
A "false" return value is racy: any other thread running may post events
to the current thread, thus making the result stale. That includes Qt
starts for its own purposes when it comes to the main thread, like the
Scene Graph thread, the QProcessManager thread, the Windows
QAdoptedThread watcher thread, the Windows pipe writer thread, etc.
A "true" return is stable only if the selected thread is stopped, which
includes selecting the current thread (the case of QCoreApplication).
For that reason, this method should not be public, but a protected one
so that a public static could call it. But even that would not solve the
race condition from the previous paragraph (hence why
QCoreApplication::hasPendingEvents being deprecated too).
And, to top all of that off, all but one of the implementations access
the GUI thread's event loop counter in a non-thread-safe manner. I've
changed the documentation to restrict to the only currently-working use-
application.
[ChangeLog][QtCore][Event loop] QCoreApplication::hasPendingEvents and
QAbstractEventDispatcher::hasPendingEvents are now deprecated. Please
refer to the documentation for more information.

Allow configuration of logging rules from outside of the application,
either through a configuration file (.config/QtProject/qtlogging.ini),
or through a file specified by a QT_LOGGING_CONF environment
variable.
The logging rules from the different sources are concatenated: First
the rules from QtProject/qtlogging.ini are applied, then
QLoggingCategory::setLoggingRules(), finally from the environment.
This allows an application to overwrite/augment the system wide rules,
and in turn that can be tailored for a specific run by setting a
configuration in the environment variable.
[ChangeLog][QtCore][Logging] The logging framework can now be configured
with an .ini file.

The qRemovePostRoutine() function has been added as publicly exported
function in Qt 2.2.0 with behavior equivalent to that of today. It has
never been documented for unknown reasons, possibly simply forgotten.
This function provides needed symmetry for the already documented
qAddPostRoutine() function and is used in some real world applications.

In order to prevent people from shooting themselves in the foot, abort
if we're running setuid. This behavior can be disabled by calling
QCoreApplication::setSetuidAllowed(true) in order to support legacy code.
[ChangeLog][QtCore][Important Behavior Changes] Running Qt applications
that are setuid has been prevented. If you really need to do this then
you can call QCoreApplication::setSetuidAllowed(true) before creating the
QCoreApplication instance.

In cases where QGuiApplication is instantiated by a library
embedded into another application via some plugin mechanism
(for example, Active X controls built using Qt), the QPA platform plugin
and other plugins cannot be found next to the application executable.
In this case, the library should set the application file path to
its deployment location such that plugin paths are set accordingly,
the directory is added to the path and qt.conf is found, should it exist.

This isn't a hot codepath, there is no gain to doing this. It introduces
unnecessary bloat (see e.g.
https://www.webkit.org/blog/2826/unusual-speed-boost-size-matters/) and
complicates boosting Qt application startup in cases where argv[0] is
overwritten.

Specify the root directory to be the package root. Only plugins
inside the root can be opened (actually also only files). Furthermore
current defaults to the package root now, which in most cases is
identical to previous behavior.
When attempting to load a plugin the path can either be specified in
host format "C:/..." or as plugin absolute "/platforms/...". Check for
both, with preference of latter case, like when qt.conf is used with
/ being used as plugin path.

999e5162ec3e86c9cb84c3ec95dfd0ba4b21277f breaks QPlatformIntegration
implementations that perform tasks in their constructor that rely on
the event dispatcher. For example creating a QSocketNotifier is not
possible anymore since the event dispatcher is created later on.
This is fixed by introducing an additional virtual in
QPlatformIntegration that gets called after createEventDispatcher().
Two broken platform plugins have been identified so far: eglfs is
creating socket notifiers to read events from input devices and xcb's
input context plugins may use dbus. Both are updated accordingly.

The QCommandLineParser class provides a means for handling the command line options.
QCoreApplication provides the command-line arguments as a simple list of strings.
QCommandLineParser provides the ability to define a set of options, parse the
command-line arguments, and store which options have actually been used, as
well as option values.

Instead of storing the application type as a uint, we use the enum provided
by QCoreApplicationPrivate. The former resulted in a few cases of wrong
logic where the values got mixed up, such as always printing the QtCore
console warning, even for GUI applications.
The qt_eval_is_supported function has been refactored to return enums instead
of magic values, to make the logic easier to read.
The same goes for qt_eval_days_left, which now only concerns itself with
the number of days left. qt_eval_is_expired() has been added to use for
easy checking of expiration date.

This avoids crashes accessing deleted memory when creating a QObject
after the last QObject had been deleted, like a qDebug() in global
destructors.

The comment right above the change in qthread.cpp looks eerily similar
to the problem I'm trying to fix. However, the actual change that
introduced the change is not in the Qt public history, so we can't
know for sure what the problem was then.

The various string properties are good candidates for exposure to QML.
While QCoreApplication itself is unlikely to be exposed to QML directly,
a wrapper exposure also needs these signals in order to react to changes
from QCoreApplication.

This is necessary for initializing things in a library, which require
a QCoreApplication instance (unlike Q_CONSTRUCTOR_FUNCTION, which runs
before that). Example use cases: KCrash (segv handler), and KCheckAccelerators
(debugging tool triggered by magic key combination).

Currently, QCoreApplication::startingUp() returns true even after
a QCoreApplication has been constructed. This patch makes it return
false after it has been constructed and adds checks to QApplication
and QGuiApplication to ensure that it returns true within the
constructor of these classes.
