The logic of deciding whether or not to send resize and move events
has been centralized in QGuiApplication. This ensures that if a
window with geometry 100,100+200x200 is moved and resized to e.g.
0,0+100x100, but the window manager denies the request (because the
window would e.g. overlap with system UI), and issues a geometry
update with the original geometry, 100,100+200x200, we will still
treat that as warrant of a move/resize event to the application,
so the application knows that its position and size is as before.
[ChangeLog][Qt Gui][QPA] QWindowSystemInterfacePrivate::handleGeometryChange
no longer takes the old geometry as an argument.

QPA is modeled on the assumption that the cursor is a property
of the window and therefore sets the override cursors on all windows.
However, on macOS and Windows, the cursor is set per application (or
screen). On these platforms, the per window cursor setting needs
to be emulated which is a source of bugs especially for override
cursors.
Add new virtuals to QPlatformCursor allowing to set override
cursors which can be implemented by directly setting the cursor
on those platforms.

This variable was introducing during Qt 5.0 Q{Gui}Application
refactoring days (2011 or even before) and since then has been
used interchangeably with QGuiApplicationPrivate::mouse_buttons.
This patch removes the duplicate member variable as it is
redundant and could be a source of potential errors.
Initially I was thinking that ::buttons might be used for
the purpose of QTestLib, but it is not. QTestLib delivers
mouse events directly via qApp->notify() (mouse button state
is update via QGuiApplicationPrivate::mouse_buttons from notify()),
or via window system interface QWindowSystemInterface::handleMouseEvent
(which goes through QGuiApplication::processMouseEvent).
Looking at QGuiApplication, it is clear that ::buttons
and ::mouse_buttons always have the same value, as there
is only one assignment to these members in QGuiApplication:
mouse_buttons = buttons = e->buttons;
And there are no other places that would assign to
QGuiApplicationPrivate::buttons.

Add simple Win32-API based menus (not owner-drawn).
Native menus are implemented using Win32 API and are simpler than
QMenu-based menus in for example that they do allow for placing widgets on
them or changing properties like fonts and do not provide hover signals.
They are mainly intended for Qt Quick. By default, they will be used if the
application is not an instance of QApplication or for Qt Quick Controls
2 applications.
In addition, the command line option -platform windows:menus=native
will unconditionally activate them and -platform windows:menus=no
turns them off.
[ChangeLog][QtGui][Windows] Native menus have been implemented.

For the windows file system engine, we add an extra macro to use
library loading if configured to do so, but avoid it on WinRT, as
none of the symbols would be found.
We also QT_REQUIRE_CONFIG(library) in the library headers and
exclude the sources from the build if library loading is disabled.
This, in turn, makes it necessary to clean up some header inclusions.

The code compared a QString* with a QString, which only compiled
because the QStringRef(const QString*) ctor was implicit. We're going
to fix that, and it's nice to see that the change exposes bugs like
this one.
The fix is to deref the QString* argument, which we know from previous
checks to be non-nullptr, to enable normal QString/QString comparison.

The previous logic relied on QPlatformWindow::setWindowState() being
synchronous and delivering the QPA event before returning to QWindow,
in which case window->windowState() would still refer to the old
state. Async platforms can now report the previous state correctly.

The comment says "don't send event if nothing changed", but the
condition it is attached to reads if (velocityOnly), which is
totally opaque.
Change the variable name to stationaryTouchPointChangedVelocity
and drop the then-branch of the if, because it is duplicated in
the following default case of the switch.
The comment makes sense again, and GCC 7 is happy, too, because
this whole issue was pointed out by its -Wimplicit-fallthrough,
which is why I added the fall-through attribute, too.

It makes assignment a bit more succinct and efficient since they
are usually set together.
Since we store the diameters and the points separately, we
no longer need to worry about updating rects by moving their centers.
QGuiApplication and QApplication don't need to alter the diameters:
they are set once when the event is constructed.
Also fix the initialization of pressure and rotation:
418b6f6899ee414aff29c91a4ae17eed8791a617 did it by casting a
double to qreal, whereas a plain integer constant will be
auto-converted by the compiler anyway.

The contact patch of a finger on a touchscreen tends to be roughly
elliptical. If we model it as a QRectF, it's not clear whether the
ellipse should be considered to be inscribed in the rectangle and then
rotated, or whether the rectangle represents the outer bounds of the
rotated ellipse. In practice, since most touchscreens can't measure
rotation, it is effectively the latter. But modeling it that way means
information is lost if the touchscreen can measure rotation: you can
determine the bounds of a rotated ellipse, but you cannot derive the
rotated ellipse from its bounds. So it's better to model the axes
of the ellipse explicitly. This has the added benefit of saving a
little storage space: we replace 3 QRectF instances, whose width
and height will normally be the same, with 3 positions (bringing the
total to 12 QPointF's) and one set of axes. Further, most applications
only care about the center of each contact patch, so it's better to
store that explicitly instead of calculating QRectF::center() repeatedly.
In the past there may have been an assumption that the width of the rect is
the same as the horizontalDiameter of the ellipse, so the rect could be
considered to be rotated, and the ellipse to be inscribed. But in
d0b1c646b4a351f7eea2137c68993ae63b2b6bab and
40e4949674eaf7ceb09f6d18479ead1a36b384fd the point was made that the rect
is actually the bounding box of the rotated ellipse.
[ChangeLog][QtGui][QTouchEvent] TouchPoint::rect(), sceneRect() and
screenRect() are deprecated; a touchpoint is now modeled as an ellipse,
so please use pos(), scenePos(), screenPos(), horizontalDiameter()
and verticalDiameter() instead.

This is second attempt of change cd26e66c2e8ddde06b5e22
This allows us to not have conflicts between the point ids between
different devices for QtQuick pointer handlers.
We do this in QtGui because we can then safely compare point ids from
QTouchEvent::TouchPoint and QQuickEventPoint.
(Point ids that QtQuick pointer handlers use will be based on the point
ids provided by QTouchEvent::TouchPoint::id)
[ChangeLog][QtGui][QTouchEvent][Important Behavior Changes]
Touch point ids are now unique even between different devices. As a
consequence of that, you cannot anymore assume that
QTouchEvent::TouchPoint::id has the same value as given by the native
platform nor the same value as given by synthesized touch points.

The patch is good, but currently breaks touchmouse test in qtdeclarative.
We need to fix the touchmouse test first, then go ahead and reapply this
patch once qtdeclarative is fixed.
This reverts commit cd26e66c2e8ddde06b5e22ef28d815ac1082a7c4.

The default should be false, meaning the application will prefer to
use a native menubar if the platform supports it. The application
author can set it to true if he wants to always use a Qt-rendered
menubar instead; or, he can call QMenuBar::setNativeMenuBar().
Qt and its plugins should not override the author's wishes.
Instead, if the platform plugin cannot create a native menubar
for whatever reason, createPlatformMenuBar() will return null,
and QMenuBar will fall back to using a Qt menubar instead.
The application can check the result via QMenuBar::isNativeMenuBar().
QMdiArea when maximized inside a QMainWindow with an empty title
does not replace the main window's title if we are using native menus.
This behavior turned out to be the same on Unity as it is on macOS,
so the autotest needed adjustment to expect that behavior whenever
the menubar is native, not only on certain platforms.
tst_QMenuBar::allowActiveAndDisabled() tests a standalone QMenuBar.
In f92f78094 it was disabled on macOS, but on Ubuntu it passes as
long as we force it to be a non-native menubar, so it should pass
that way on macOS too. Removed unused variable RESET to fix warning.

As of version 10.12 (Sierra), the name of Apple's desktop operating
system will be macOS. Change the occurrences where the Mac platform
is discussed to use a macro \macos, which expands to 'macOS'. This
helps with adapting to future renaming.
Update the instructions on mac-specific Q_OS_* macro usage.
Add a \target for the old 'Qt for OS X' topic to keep links working
for other documentation modules that try to link with the old name.

src/corelib/io/qlockfile_unix.cpp
One side changed a #if condition, the other moved NETBSD's part of
what it controlled.
src/corelib/tools/qdatetime.cpp
One side fixed a reachable Q_UNREACHABLE in toMSecsSinceEpoch(), the
other moved it from the private class to the public one, in the midst
of the "short date-time" optimization, which confused diff entirely.
One side changed a QStringLiteral to QLatin1String, the other rewrote
adjoining code.
src/network/kernel/qauthenticator.cpp
Both rewrote a line, equivalently; kept the dev version.

found uses for one of them. Put FixedColumnMatrix<>::removeRow(int)
back for its new user.
