QT_DEVICE_PIXEL_RATIO is replaced by QT_SCALE_FACTOR, while
QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR is replaced by QT_ENABLE_HIGHDPI_SCALING.
Since High-DPI is now always enabled, there's no reason to keep the
code path for android.app.auto_screen_scale_factor. Also, based on
the original commit message that introduced this code, the value of
the property should have been true.

Enable high-DPI support for all platforms which use
QHighDpiScaling. This changes the default behavior
of Qt applications on X11, Windows, and Android.
Qt::AA_EnableHighDpiScaling is now effectively on by
default, and Qt 6 applications do not have to set
this application attribute. Opting out is possible by
setting the Qt::AA_DisableHighDpiScaling attribute.

Make sure Qt reacts correctly to DPI changes while the
application is running, also when going from “standard-dpi”
to “high-dpi” (like Windows 100% to 200%).
Call QHighDpiScaling::upateHighDpiScaling() on DPI
change and update the m_usePixelDensity flag from there.

Setting the QT_USE_PHYSICAL_DPI environment variable
will make Qt use physical DPI when determining the
screen scale factor, instead of logical DPI.
However, the code was using QScreen::physicalDotsPerInch(),
Whose return value is itself scaled by the device
pixel ratio. (See QTBUG-62649 for further discussion).
Use QPlatformScreen API instead and calculate the DPI
based on geometry() and physicalSize().

Change the functions to operate in float and add the
QPoint versions as overload calling them. This is
more in-line with the event accessors using float
and allows for removing some workarounds using a delta when
converting touch points.
Leave QPlatformWindow::map(To/From)Global() as is
for now and add helpers for float.

In 5.13, isActive() would become true only if there
was a scale factor >1 present. This was accidentally
changed in 5.14, where isActive() becomes true whenever
e.g. AA_EneableHighDpiScaling is set, no matter the actual
scale factor values.

When setting a DPI in xrdb, it should have the same effect on apps that
enable scaling and apps that don't (including Qt4 and GTK applications).
That's what happened in Qt 5.13, while the recent changes removed that
division, and as a result the fonts were huge in Qt5 apps compared
to Qt4/GTK/kwin/plasmashell/krunner (which don't scale, but do honor
the font DPI).

commit 900f2cb6f7070 removed this from the condition, which breaks the
(common) case of having QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR=0 and
QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORS set. This used to obey the screen scale factors,
so it should still do so (despite the deprecation warning).
This is what the Plasma `kcmshell5 kscreen` module actually sets (via
startkde).

Replace by QT_ENABLE_HIGHDPI_SCALING.
QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR has the usability problem that it mixes
enabling the high-DPI scaling mode with the method of getting screen
scale factors (“auto”). Due to this, it ends up with a slightly
strange name.
QT_ENABLE_HIGHDPI_SCALING matches the C++ option
(Qt::AA_EnableHighDPiScaling), and leaves the scale factor acquisition
method unspecified, possibly to be set by some other means (like
QT_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTORS).

This makes it possible to test the effects of setting
Qt::AA_HighDpiScaling/QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR, with different DPI
values on all platforms.
This also makes it possible to access the actual DPI values reported
by the OS/WS via the QPlatformScreen API.
A drawback is that there is no single place to check the environment
variable; currently done in three places. This may be
further simplified later on.

As of version 10.12 (Sierra), the name of Apple's desktop operating

The printf-style version of QDebug expands to a lot less code than the
std::ostream-style version. Of course, you pay in type safety (but
compilers warn about it these days), you cannot stream complex Qt
types and streaming QStrings is awkward, but in many cases you
actually improve on readability.
But the main reason is that something that's not supposed to be
executed under normal operation has no business bloating executable
code size.
This is not an attempt at converting all qWarnings() to printf-style,
only the low-hanging fruit.
In this second part, replace
qWarning() << "" << non-QString
with
qWarning("..%.", non-QString).
QString (and QUrl etc) have special escaping handling when streamed
into QDebug, so leave those alone. They also seem to expand to less
code than the qPrintable() alternative, so there's no reason to
replace them.
Saves 2KiB, 3.4KiB, ~750b and ~450b in text size in QtCore, Gui,
Network and Widgets, resp., on optimized GCC 5.3 AMD64 builds.

... by replacing them with C++11 range-for loops.
This is the simplest of the patch series: Q_FOREACH took a
copy, so we do, too. Except we don't, since we're just
catching the return value that comes out of the function
(RVO). We can't feed the rvalues into range-for, because
they are non-const and would thus detach.

Make it possible to enable and disable both at the
environment variable level and at the source code
level. This applies to scaling done by Qt using display
density information provided by the operating system.
Disabling is done with a 'veto' system: both the environment
and source code my prevent the other for enabling
scaling. This covers use cases of 'my system does not
provide correct display metrics' and 'my application
needs access to display pixels', respectively.
On the environment, scaling is now enabled with
QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR=1 and disabled with
QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR=0. In source code the
corresponding application attributes are AA_EnableHighDpiScaling
and AA_DisapleHighDpiScaling. Not setting any of these
indicates 'no preference'.
The global scale factor set by QT_SCALE_FACTOR is
not affected by any if the disablers.
