Change the occurrences where the Mac platform is discussed to use a macro \macos, which expands to 'macOS'. This helps with adapting to future renaming. Update the instructions on mac-specific Q_OS_* macro usage. Add a \target for the old 'Qt for OS X' topic to keep links working for other documentation modules that try to link with the old name. It's not as efficient as in other such cases, because one string is particularly long, but it's still more than acceptable. Text size increases slightly, but data size decreases a lot (can't say by how much, exactly, as I'm on a UBSan build). However, it didn't check the return value of h2i() before attempting a left-shift on it, leading to UB when the first digit was already invalid. UBSan agrees: qcolor_p.cpp:55:23: runtime error: left shift of negative value -1 This is particularly worrisome as the function can be called with unsanitized input. Fix by checking each value for non-negativity, returning -1 early when errors are detected. Also port to QtMiscUtils::fromHex() and add some docs. * | | ARM: Vectorize common QRgba64 compositing functions.Erik Verbruggen2016-05-242-47/+153
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Adds overloaded functions for some common operations used for compositing, and use those together with specialized loading/storing. QRgba64 is represented as a quint64, so most of the time it lives in the integer registers. By overloading functions to return SIMD data types, the temporary values are kept in SIMD registers (so no more unnecessary transfers between the registers, which can cost a lot on ARM). It also allows the compiler to do better TBAA and optimizations. Another benefit is that the loop bodies are smaller, giving them a higher chance to fit in the micro-op cache of modern CPUs. Builds device and simulator by default. Added ‘uikit’ platform with the common setup. Also added QT_PLATFORM_UIKIT define (undocumented). qmake config defines tvos (but not ios). tvOS is 64bits only (QT_ARCH is arm64) and requires bitcode to be embedded in the binary. A new ‘bitcode’ configuration was added. For ReleaseDevice builds (which get archived and push to the store), bitcode is actually embedded (-fembed-bitcode passed to clang). For all other configurations, only using bitcode markers to keep file size down (-fembed-bitcode-marker). Build disables Widgets in qtbase, and qtscript (unsupported, would require fixes to JavaScriptCore source code). Qpa same as on iOS but disables device orientation, status bar, clipboard, menus, dialogs which are not supported on tvOS.
