That feature is a poor man's session management for applications
that do not implement any specific session management features.
It badly interferes with proper session management support, so
applications must be able to disable it.
This enables fixing applications with
QGuiApplication::quitOnLastWindowClosed() true - the default -
dying too early, before they are enumerated for the list of
applications to restart on session restore, thus preventing them
from being restored. See
https://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=354724
[ChangeLog][QtGui] Qt asking to close windows on session exit as
a fallback session management mechanism has been made optional.
Disabling it fixes session management for applications that
implement full session management. See
QGuiApplication::isFallbackSessionManagementEnabled().

Otherwise platform backingstores providing QImages with extra pixels
would break horribly. The only such platform is wayland for now.
Previously the need to support this case was masked by the RGBA8888
image conversion that happened always with wayland due to its ARGB32_Pre
format. With the recent improvements this is not done anymore and so
the problems became apparent.

A malformed bmp file header could specify a negative color table
size. The bmp handler would then return a QImage that claimed to be
valid, but actually was invalid, having an empty color table. This
would cause crash later, e.g. when attempting to paint it.

pop up on custom widgets e.g. inheriting QWindow.

Resetting focus_window and other internal QGuiApplication variables before
calling setVisible(false) and destroying the platform window means that the
platform window can't reason about whether or not it was the focus window
unless it can resolve that using native APIs. We should let the platform
window take care of resetting the focus window and related states, and
only execute our fallback logic if the plugin doesn't do the right
thing.
We also use QPA to update the state instead of modifying the internal
QGuiApplication variables directly, so that events and signals are
emitted as a result of the reset.
The QLineEdit test gets two added calls to processEvents(), since
assuming that activateWindow() is synchronous is not correct, and
would result in the QMenu resetting the focus window to 0 on destroy.

qt_mac_set_dock_menu() needs a \relates command to show up properly.
"\since 5.2" produces "This function was introduced in Qt 5.2", which is
wrong; the function existed in Qt 4.
qt_set_sequence_auto_mnemonic() is referenced by the QShortcut class
ref, but the page that hosted it in qtdoc.git is being removed. Thus,
its description is now transferred here.

Parse the requested family before we're looking/saving into the cache,
thus hitting the cached EngineData for:
* quoted family names (eg. QFont("'Arial'"))
* non-simplified family names (eg. QFont(" Arial "))
* substituted family names (\sa QFont::insertSubstitution())
* explicit fallback list, where possible (eg. QFont("Tahoma, Arial"))
This also improves the cache hitting for the font engines in some cases.

As of change a094af001795c9651b299d700a992150d1aba33a, X11 now joins
other platforms in having a fake screen if no physical screens are
attached, rather than ever allowing QGuiApplication::screens() to
return an empty list or QGuiApplication::primaryScreen() to return
null. This is more consistent across platforms and helps to prevent
bugs in applications which want to use QScreen in some context but
fail to check whether it exists.
[ChangeLog][X11] In case there are no physical screens attached,
QGuiApplication::screens() and QGuiApplication::primaryScreen() will
return a placeholder QScreen object.

c7e5e1d9e01849 assumed shortcut handling could be done at the QPA
level, but this fails on async platforms where there are e.g
activation events in the QPA queue and we then try to handle
the shortcut synchronously.
This commit restores the handling to QtGui for non-OS X platforms,
and we should fix OS X by adding callbacks through the IME for
the special case of OS X.

Instead of creating a QByteArray, possibly normalizing a leading
'--' (one allocation, plus possibly one copy), simply use the
old 'ol str(n)cmp, skipping the first character if the argument
starts with '--'.
It also fixes parsing of -stylesheet and other options which
were erroneously parsed using indexOf() != -1, when they
should have used startsWith().
Also saves 504/742/522b in text size for QtCore/QtGui/QtWidgets,
resp., on optimized GCC 5.3 Linux AMD64 builds.

On some drivers (e.g. NVIDIA, tested on Windows) the
status check is apparently expensive. A simple FBO
test app rendering into the FBO on every frame (and
thus calling bind()) shows a 19-21% CPU usage. With
the patch this gets reduced to 0.8-1%.
The check is fairly useless too - whenever creating
attachments, the status is checked, so d->valid is
up-to-date.

The code-path used by non-OSX platforms were not passing on the native
scan-code, virtual key, and modifiers, breaking QKeyMapper::possibleKeys
in the process.

When closing a popup dialog using a shortcut, when the popup
was originally opened using a shortcut, the closing-shortcut
would interfere with the state of the first shortcut, and we
ended up sending a key event for the original shortcut.

We depend on being able to punch holes in the backing store when
integrating with FBO elements. To do that we need a format with an alpha
channel. This was only working previously because RGB32 didn't mask when
filling or when converting to ARGB32_PM, but other formats didn't.
Also unifies the logic for getting alpha versions of QImage formats.

Render-to-texture widgets that are native children may have a non-zero
offset telling the position within the top-level widget. The size is
usually different (smaller) than the tlw's size as well.
An unfortunate optimization attempt led to ignoring the size for native
children with offset (0, 0). This resulted in interesting rendering
artifacts whenever such widgets were placed in the top-left corner of
the toplevel. This is now corrected.
