| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Under the hood we use QSettings to store HSTS policies. Qt configured with 'no feature settings' would fail to build then. For such builds, we fall back to in-memory only HSTS cache. * Refactor HSTS cache implementationTimur Pocheptsov2017-01-241-2/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The original monstrosity is not needed at all. It was born only to implement RFC6797's description of the host matching algorithm (starting from superdomains and moving to subdomains). Actually, it does not really matter how we find known host - it can be a congruent match first instead, and then we proceed with superdomains. This way I can use QMap and my tests so far show it actually works faster (both insertion and lookup), also the code is cleaner now. Also, introduce the new class QHstsPolicy that essentially allows to mark a host as known host and conveniently encapsulates host name/expiration date/ subdomains policy. Add a public API providing access to HSTS policies, so that client code can pre-set or read back discovered known hosts (to implement persistent HSTS storage, for example). We support server-driven HSTS - this means client code is allowed to provide policies as hints to QNetworkAccessManager, but these policies can be overridden by HTTP responses with 'Strict-Transport-Security' headers. * Add HTTP strict tranport security support to QNAMTimur Pocheptsov2017-01-201-2/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) is a web security policy that allows a web server to declare that user agents should only interact with it using secure HTTPS connections. HSTS is described by RFC6797. This patch introduces a new API in Network Access Manager to enable this policy or disable it (default - STS is disabled). We also implement QHstsCache which caches known HTTS hosts, does host name lookup and domain name matching; QHstsHeaderParser to parse HSTS headers with HSTS policies. A new autotest added to test the caching, host name matching and headers parsing. | * Remove QNetworkReplyNSURLConnectionImpl.Jake Petroules2016-05-261-8/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This class is no longer needed now that SecureTransport is the default SSL backend on iOS. It also uses NSURLConnection, which is deprecated on iOS and tvOS and completely prohibited on watchOS (in favor of NSURLSession). [ChangeLog][Important Behavior Changes] The NSURLConnection backend of QNetworkAccessManager has been removed, since SecureTransport is the default SSL backend on iOS and is enabled by default. This means that building with -no-openssl -no-securetransport will no longer provide SSL capabilities on iOS. Added ‘uikit’ platform with the common setup. Also added QT_PLATFORM_UIKIT define (undocumented). qmake config defines tvos (but not ios). tvOS is 64bits only (QT_ARCH is arm64) and requires bitcode to be embedded in the binary. A new ‘bitcode’ configuration was added. For ReleaseDevice builds (which get archived and push to the store), bitcode is actually embedded (-fembed-bitcode passed to clang). For all other configurations, only using bitcode markers to keep file size down (-fembed-bitcode-marker). Build disables Widgets in qtbase, and qtscript (unsupported, would require fixes to JavaScriptCore source code). Qpa same as on iOS but disables device orientation, status bar, clipboard, menus, dialogs which are not supported on tvOS. It is useful when opening files located in network drives where the file open operation could take several seconds to complete. When this attribute is activated the QNetworkAccessManager::get call returns the reply immediately and the user has to wait until QNetworkReply::finished signal is emitted or QNetworkReply::isFinished function returns true. * network: add support for the SPDY protocolPeter Hartmann2014-02-191-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently the only supported SPDY version is 3.0. The feature needs to be enabled explicitly via QNetworkRequest::SpdyAllowedAttribute. Whether SPDY actually was used can be determined via QNetworkRequest::SpdyWasUsedAttribute from a QNetworkReply once it has been started (i.e. after the encrypted() signal has been received). Whether SPDY can be used will be determined during the SSL handshake through the TLS NPN extension (see separate commit). The following things from SPDY have not been enabled currently: * server push is not implemented, it has never been seen in the wild; in that case we just reject a stream pushed by the server, which is legit. * settings are not persisted across SPDY sessions. In practice this means that the server sends a small message upon session start telling us e.g. the number of concurrent connections. * SSL client certificates are not supported. Task-number: QTBUG-18714 [ChangeLog][QtNetwork] Added support for the SPDY protocol (version 3.0). Change-Id: I81bbe0495c24ed84e9cf8af3a9dbd63ca1e93d0d Reviewed-by: Richard J. Moore <rich@kde.org>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add support for QNetworkAccessManager https REST on iOS, without adding a dependency on OpenSSL. The current limitations are: - Overriding server certificate trust issues (for example expired certificates) is not supported. - Usage on non-gui threads is not supported. NSurlConnection needs a CoreFoundation-based event loop, which Qt currently only provides when using QGuiApplication on the main thread. * Add QUrl::topLevelDomain() and move TLD table from QtNetwork to QtCoreRobert Hogan2011-05-241-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Move Qt's copy of the Mozilla public suffix list from QtNetwork to QtCore and use it to expose a new API function QUrl::topLevelDomain(). This function returns the section of the url that is a registrar-controlled top level domain. QtCore now exports a couple of functions to the other Qt modules: qTopLevelDomain, a helper function for QUrl::topLevelDomain(); and qIsEffectiveTLD(), a helper function for QNetworkCookeieJar. The motivation for this new API is to allow QtWebKit implement a Third-Party Cookie blocking policy. For this QtWebKit needs to know the element of the url that is the registry-controlled TLD. Without this knowledge it would end up blocking third-party cookies per host rather than per registry-controlled domain.
