I'm getting crashes in Akonadi processes due to libproxy. I don't have
direct evidence that this was caused by a threading condition, but it's
clear from the source code of libproxy that the plugins it runs for
expanding PAC scripts are not thread-safe. To overcome this problem, we
only run libproxy functions in one thread only.

The pacrunner implementation of libproxy uses libdbus-1 which
(officially) is thread-safe, but experience tells that it has
problems. Since it is not running a JS engine, we don't need a thread,
but we do need to lock around it.

This #if has been there since 0248ec4054b (Oct 2005), presumably due to
bugs reported after the Qt 4.0 release (the first containing QHostInfo).
Any macOS issues with getnameinfo() have long since been gone. I've
confirmed that it works on 10.9, 10.10, 10.11 and 10.12, so I'm
dropping the #ifndef.
[ChangeLog][Deprecation Notice] Starting with Qt 5.10, IPv6 support will
be mandatory for all platforms. Systems without proper IPv6 support,
such as the getaddrinfo() function or the proper socket address
structures, will not be able to build QtNetwork anymore.

This hasn't done anything since at least Qt 5.0. It's possible it was
only used in Symbian, which we removed before the 5.0 release. This only
served to make the tst_QNetworkProxyFactory test slow.
[ChangeLog][QtNetwork][QNetworkProxy] The functions related to
QNetworkConfiguration are deprecated. They've performed no action since
Qt 5.0, so code using them can safely stop doing so.

For the windows file system engine, we add an extra macro to use
library loading if configured to do so, but avoid it on WinRT, as
none of the symbols would be found.
We also QT_REQUIRE_CONFIG(library) in the library headers and
exclude the sources from the build if library loading is disabled.
This, in turn, makes it necessary to clean up some header inclusions.

A default-constructed static QBasicAtomicInt at function scope
will be dynamically initialized. It will still be zero-initialized,
but at least GCC adds guard variables for such objects.
When using aggregate initialization, the guard disappears.

A variable of static storage duration that is not zero-initialized
takes up space in the DATA segment of the executable. By making the
counters start at zero and adding the initial value afterwards, we
move them over to the BSS segment, which does not take up space in
the executable.
Wrap atomics used across function boundaries into small functions,
to avoid code duplication and to increase readability.

We have an invalid pointer dereference in our callback.
Apple's docs are quite ambiguous, whatever we receive in our callback's
'client' parameter is our PACInfo, not clientContext's address.
That's what we pass to CFNetworkExecuteProxyAutoConfigurationURL:
"clientContext - A stream context containing a client info object and optionally
retain and release callbacks for that object."
This 'client info' is our PACInfo struct with 2 pointers.
Now in a callback, 'client':
"The client reference originally passed in the clientContext
parameter of the ..."
So apparently we should read this as "client info originally passed in ...."
Otherwise incorrect cast results in invalid pointer (apparently
the value of retain/release/copy pointers we carefully set to 0)
and a crash on dereference.

qHash(QHostAddress) was added in Qt 5.0 (at least the version with uint seed = 0).
op==(QHostAddress::SpecialAddress, QHostAddress) was there since QHostAddress was
added before public history. Since QHostAddress does not have a \since, the I did
not supply one for op==, either.
Since the equality operator did not have unit-tests, added one.

QHostAddress is one of the few classes in Qt which is pimpl'd but not
implictly shared, making it suprisingly expensive to copy around, return
by value and so on. Being pimpl'd it is also still lacking a move
constructor, like most of such types in Qt.
Remove a bit of the surprise factor and make it implictly shared. In
practice this means making it eagerly parse host addresses from strings.
Since it was entirely implemented out of line, replacing it with a
implictly shared implementation is binary compatible.
[ChangeLog][QtNetwork][QHostAddress] QHostAddress is now implicitly
shared.

QHostAddress allowed assignment from a QString, but the respective
constructor is explicit, and rightfully so. So it does not make
sense that the assignment operator is provided, because of the
asymmetry caused between
QHostAddress addr = funcReturningQString(); // ERROR
addr = funcReturningQString(); // OK (until now)
By the same token, since SpecialAddress is implicitly convertible
to QHostAddress, provide the missing assignment operator from that
enum.
Add tests, rewriting the _data() function to use the enum instead
of an int to pass SpecialAddress values, and to test !=, too.
Added setAddress(SpecialAddress), since a) it was missing and
b) to share code between the ctor and the assignment operator.

Allow to check programmatically whether using the system proxy settings
is enabled. To implement this the QSystemConfigurationProxyFactory is
replaced by an explicit boolean in QGlobalNetworkProxy.

We checked if we had seen the interface by looking into seenInterfaces
and seenIndexes, but we never updated those variables with what we saw
in this block.
This fixes the reporting of PPP interfaces as well as TUN/TAP virtual
interfaces.

QString::fromLatin1 always allocates memory, but there are
cases where we can avoid/reduce allocations or/and reduce
text size, e.g.:
QStringBuilder expressions
Fix: replace QString::fromLatin1 with QL1S
QString::fromLatin1().arg(String) pattern
Fix: replace with QStringBuilder
Overloaded functions with QL1S arg
Fix: replace QString::fromLatin1 with QL1S
In rare cases if there is no overloaded function
with QL1S and we have deal with string literal,
replace QString::fromLatin1 with QStringLiteral.
