* QLocalSocket - deprecate ambiguous 'error' overloadsTimur Pocheptsov2020-01-101-0/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | QLocalSocket::error is overloaded as a signal and an accessor (for the error reported by the signal). This means connecting to the signal using a pointer to member function would require ambiguity resolution. We deprecate the old accessor (to be removed in Qt 6) and introduce a new one - 'socketError'. [ChangeLog][Deprecation Notice] QLocalSocket::error() (the getter) is deprecated; superseded by socketError(). * QLocalSocket: forward skipping to the inner socketAlex Trotsenko2017-09-051-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | As QLocalSocket keeps incoming data in the inner socket object, we can implement the outer's skip() by simply calling the inner's. This avoids the slow read()-based code path provided by the base class. | * QLocalSocket/Tcp: open device before making a connectionAlex Trotsenko2016-08-041-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | According to QLocalSocket's documentation, connectToServer() must initiate a connection attempt after opening the device. Otherwise, if a connection succeeds immediately, connected() signal will be emitted on closed device. So, this patch ensures that TCP-based implementation behaves correctly. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Qt copyrights are now in The Qt Company, so we could update the source code headers accordingly. In the same go we should also fix the links to point to qt.io. Outdated header.LGPL removed (use header.LGPL21 instead) Old header.LGPL3 renamed to header.LGPL3-COMM to match actual licensing combination. New header.LGPL-COMM taken in the use file which were using old header.LGPL3 (src/plugins/platforms/android/extract.cpp) Added new header.LGPL3 containing Commercial + LGPLv3 + GPLv2 license combination Change-Id: I6f49b819a8a20cc4f88b794a8f6726d975e8ffbe Reviewed-by: Matti Paaso <matti.paaso@theqtcompany.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | The one in tst_QLocalSocket::writeToClientAndDisconnect just needed proper ordering: that's what waitForDisconnect is for. * Fix incomplete override of QIODevice::open in QProcess and QLocalSocketThiago Macieira2013-07-201-5/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The rule for a new override is that it must still work if the old implementation is called. The catch is that any class that derives from QProcess and isn't recompiled will still have QIODevice::open in its virtual table. That is equivalent to overriding open() and calling QIODevice::open() (like the tests). In Qt 5.0, QProcess::start() called QIODevice::open directly, not the virtual open(), so there's no expectation that a user-overridden open() be called. With that in mind, simply fix QProcess::start to not call the virtual open at all. Similarly with QLocalSocket, the calls to open were always non-virtual. Some other methods take 'name' as an argument and have similar code block, so I think this is a copy/paste error introduced somewhere in the past.
