* QtNetwork: eradicate Q_FOREACH loops [rvalues]Marc Mutz2016-05-045-8/+16
| | | | | | | | | | | | | ... by replacing them with C++11 range-for loops. This is the simplest of the patch series: Q_FOREACH took a copy, so we do, too. Except we don't, since we're just catching the return value that comes out of the function (RVO). We can't feed the rvalues into range-for, because they are non-const and would thus detach. Also port from QPair to a simple struct { code, depth }, because member names such as 'first' and 'second' have no semantic value and make code using them very hard to understand. Current implementation supports transactions for both types of devices. For sequential devices, it records the whole input stream during transaction. For random-access devices, device position is saved when transaction starts. If an error occurs, the application may be able to recover the input stream by rolling back to the start point. Also, QIODevice::peek() was rewritten to make use of transactions internally. The replacement of QIODevicePrivateLinearBuffer by QRingBuffer is closely entangled with that, which makes it unfeasible to do separately. Bump the TypeInformationVersion field in qtHookData, to notify the Qt Creator developers that the offset of QFilePrivate::fileName was changed and dumpers should be adapted. [ChangeLog][QtCore] Added QIODevice's startTransaction(), commitTransaction(), rollbackTransaction(), isTransactionStarted() functions to support the read transactions. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When using cipher algorithms with forward secrecy an ephemeral key is used to generate the symmetric session key. Beside the SSL certificate's key, this ephemeral key is of cryptographic interest. The ephemeral key is chosen by the server side - currently statically in the Qt implementation - so it is only of interest on the client side to check it. Therefore the ephemeral key is the null key if the connection is set up in server mode or a cipher without forward secrecy is used. * | | Remove legacy platform code in QSslSocket for OS X < 10.5Daniel Molkentin2015-11-242-61/+27
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This avoids manual symbol lookups and makes the code more readable. Mark identical code. Also use smart pointers instead of manual memory management. Change-Id: I62820313dce87de6623cdc87b6e1361200ed7822 Reviewed-by: Markus Goetz (Woboq GmbH) <markus@woboq.com>

| * | QtNetwork: convert some QDateTime::currentDateTime() to currentDateTimeUtc()Marc Mutz2015-10-273-3/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The latter is much faster as it doesn't have to deal with time zones. This change is safe, because the QDateTimes are only used for comparison with other QDateTimes, which, from a quick glance around, seem to be mostly, if not exclusively, in UTC. Comparsions work across time zones, but the comparison between UTC date-times is fastest. Credits to Milian Wolff, from whose QtWS15 talk this advice is taken. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The QSslSocket::addCaCertificates() variant that takes a path argument uses QSslCertificate::fromPath() in its implementation. Edit the description of the former to match that of the latter. Fix minor issues in QSslCertificate::fromPath() documentation; add a missing word, limit code snippet line width.
