We were throwing away important information by claiming that all
fonts support all the standard sizes in QFontDatabase on Windows
This caused the font dialog to list unsupported sizes for bitmap
fonts, unlike the native font dialog.
We would also claim to support creating bitmap fonts at
unsupported sizes, which would lead to
1. QFontInfo(font).pointSize() would return the requested size,
not the actual rendered size.
2. Bitmap fonts created at 64 pixels and higher would be invisible.
On Mac, there are no system bitmap fonts, and the use is not very
common, but installing some bitmap fonts on the system, it does
seem to ignore the sizes supported in the font and just displays
the standard list instead, so we keep the current behavior there.
[ChangeLog][QtGui][Text] Fixed list of supported sizes for
bitmap fonts on Windows.

In change ce2ae6ebd8cfebf9edbb0b5653e80de029669548 we added support for
hinted rendering to the DirectWrite engine. Previously, we would just
use the DirectWrite engine for all text rendering in high-dpi and assume
we would get only vertical hinting, but since the default changed, we
ended up scaling hinted text and the resulting text layouts were a mess.

This allows creating or extending QPA plugins to provide access to QFont
and related types.
It concerns both GDI and DirectWrite engines, as well as the regular and
the freetype based font databases. The qt.qpa.fonts logging category has
been moved together into the QWindowsFontDatabase related files to avoid
depending on the qwindowscontext.h header file. Finally, QwindowsNativeImage
is following pending a future refactor with similar code in qpixmap_win.cpp
and the Windows XP style.

so far, we have been delaying the linking, because we didn't want to
make the monolithic platformsupport module pull in spurious
dependencies. however, now that the module was split, there is no need
to play such games any more.
a nice effect of this is that the hideous qpa/*unixfontdatabase.prf
files disappear, and finally freetype_dependency.pri also becomes
trivial and is thus inlined.

convert the ugly config.tests/[...]/freetype.pri file into a custom
callback in configure.pri, and reinstate pkg-config use for freetype.
subsequently, use QMAKE_USE for the actual library references.

passing the necessary information to the test any more, so the old .pri

In change db2764db3466221ad680d63ff2224cdd016fc351, we introduced
the requirement of having specific OpenType tables available
to certain fonts. Before, we would not require OpenType support
to use a font for Myanmar text, for instance, since this was
not listed as one of the languages requiring OpenType support.
This patch simply brings back the limitation that fonts are only
disqualified by missing tables if the language is one of the
ones we know to require OpenType.

If an entire font family is condensed or stretched and we match by
family name, the default stretch factor of 100 will make the font
engine try to synthesize it back to medium stretched font.
The existing code is already made to deal with a stretch of 0 that is
no longer used. This patch reintroduces 0 stretch to indicate no
specific stretch has been requested. Specifically setting stretch to
100 on a QFont will introduce the old behavior.
[ChangeLog][QtGui][QFont] The default value of QFont::stretch() is
now 0 to indicate any default stretch is acceptable.

changed a parameter type.
* split_value_list(): one side changed a parameter adjacent to where ...
* expandVariableReferences(): ... the other killed one overload and
changed the survivor
src/corelib/io/qlockfile_unix.cpp
One side changed a #if condition, the other moved NETBSD's part of
what it controlled.
src/corelib/tools/qdatetime.cpp
One side fixed a reachable Q_UNREACHABLE in toMSecsSinceEpoch(), the
other moved it from the private class to the public one, in the midst
of the "short date-time" optimization, which confused diff entirely.
One side changed a QStringLiteral to QLatin1String, the other rewrote
adjoining code.
src/network/kernel/qauthenticator.cpp
Both rewrote a line, equivalently; kept the dev version.
src/platformsupport/fontdatabases/mac/qfontengine_coretext.mm
src/platformsupport/fontdatabases/mac/qfontengine_coretext_p.h
One side changed #if-ery that the other removed.
tools/configure/configureapp.cpp
One side added a check to -target parsing; the other killed -target.

I note that quite a few other expected_* come out changed, now.
There was no git-conflict in
src/widgets/kernel/qformlayout.cpp
but it didn't compile; one side removed some unused methods; the other
found uses for one of them. Put FixedColumnMatrix<>::removeRow(int)
back for its new user.

Conflicts:
qmake/library/qmakeevaluator.cpp
One side changed the iterator to use ranged-for, the other changed its
body; they only conflicted because the latter had to add braces around
the body, intruding on the for-line. Trivial resolution.

[UIFont familyNames] will return a list of fonts that include the fonts
Telugu Sangam MN, Heiti SC, Heiti TC, and Bangla Sangam MN, but when
calling [UIFont fontNamesForFamilyName:] for these fonts we get an
empty list.
The problem appeared when we tried to then populate these fonts, as
CTFontDescriptorCreateMatchingFontDescriptors() would return a list
of font descriptors from the PingFang SC font when called with
NSFontFamilyAttribute = "Heiti SC". This is due to PingFang being a
replacement for Heiti in later iOS versions.
