* Android: make sure that orientationChange is reported after resizeIvan Solovev2022-03-041-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | On Android orientation changes are reported from the DisplayListener.onDisplayChanged() method, while the screen size changes are reported from QtLayout.onSizeChanged(). In practice these callbacks come in random order, so rotating the screen multiple times might result in inconsistent order of signals and events. This patch makes sure that size change events always happen before orientation changes. This is done by caching the new orientation values and reporting them only when needed. At this point we also need to use QMetaObject::invokeMethod() for orientation change, like it is done for geometry change. Otherwise the orientation update can still be processed earlier than the geometry change. Also note that at some point we might get an orientation change without a size change (for example Qt::LandscapeOrientation -> Qt::InvertedLandscapeOrientation). That is the reason for isSimilarRotation() helper function. As a drive-by: ignore size changes with inconsistent values when window size is reported to have old orientation, while the screen has already been rotated. In such cases a new size change will be triggered shortly with normal value. * Android: set all QScreen's geometry-related parameters togetherIvan Solovev2022-03-041-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Screen has 3 parameters: - physical size - screen size (or screen geometry) - available geometry Before this patch, they were reported in 3 different methods. Screen size update and available geometry update both were generating the "screen geometry changed" event, that updated the user-visible parameters. As a result, at some point we could end up in an intermediate state, when screen size was already updated, but available geometry was not yet updated. This was specially visible while changing the screen orientation: at some point screen geometry could be reported for the new orientation, while the available geometry - still for old orientation. This patch introduces a new method to set all geometry-related parameters together and generate only one "screen geometry changed" event. This allows to maintain consistency between 'geometry' and 'availableGeometry' properties of QScreen. * Make QJniObject and QJniEnvironment public APIAssam Boudjelthia2021-01-271-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As part of Qt 6 restructring for the extras modules, this change exposes the Jni APIs which are very important for Android platform. This patch adds the APIs QJniObject, QJniEnvironment, QJniExceptionCleaner based from private QtCore and QtAndroidExtras. The Jni interface is cross-platform which justifies the name, but currently, this API is used mainly for Android, and the naming comes generic without Android keyword to avoid any future limitation on supporting other platforms. [ChangeLog][QtCore] Add new QJniObject, QJniEnvironment and QJniExceptionCleaner APIs. * QAndroidPlatformScreen: Use an event rather than a QTimerRobin Burchell2017-04-111-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | It looks like the origins of this timer may come from QFbScreen. QFbScreen, however, changed away from a timer in d7068cbe1b37eb065c1902c8e944f3bc19db0ba4. There are other reasons to avoid a timer in this case, though: a timer may be pre-empted by application events (like other timers), which may mean a significant amount of time could pass between starting the timer and pushing the contents out to the actual screen (in doRedraw). This has the effect that flush becomes synchronous, which matches the behavior of the other platforms as far as I can tell. |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Opt-in by setting android.app.auto_screen_scale_factor to true in AndroidManifest.xml. This will enable devicePixelRatio scaling in QtGui using a scale factor provided by Android DisplayMetrics. Note that the Android style is not currently supported: it already accounts for different display densities which results in incorrect visual sizes when enabling devicePixelRatio scaling. Implementation: Bring DisplayMetrics::density through to setDisplayMetrics in androidjnimain.cpp, similar to what is done for "scaledDensity". Override QPlatformScreen::pixelDensity(), which forwards the scale factor to QtGui. [The difference between "density" and "scaledDensity" is that the former is a physical display density factor which corresponds closely to devicePixelRatio in Qt, while the latter also includes the Android global font scale factor.] Scale the global font pixel size in qandroidplatformtheme.cpp to keep the visual font size constant. * Android: Report something sensible for screen geometryEskil Abrahamsen Blomfeldt2014-06-131-3/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We can't get the actual screen geometry on Android, but in Qt 5.3.0 we would always return the screen geometry minus the size of the status bar. After the available geometry was initialized to 0x0 instead of this arbitrary value, some applications that depended on this as a constant value would break if they collected the information before the window surface had been initialized and they forgot to listen to QScreen::geometryChanged(). To reduce the risk of regressions, this patch makes sure we return the same thing as before for the screen geometry and that this is not linked directly to the available screen geometry.
