This class provides a "type safe" way to compare and access operating
system version numbers.
[ChangeLog][Deprecation Notice] QSysInfo::windowsVersion() and
QSysInfo::macVersion() are deprecated and are replaced by the newly
introduced QOperatingSystemVersion.

Use the new qtConfig macro in all pro/pri files.
This required adding some feature entries, and adding

instead, the only relevant defines from qconfig.h (QT_VERSION*) are
passed on the command line, like we already did for qmake and
configure.exe.
this enables us to remove the early forwarding header generation from
qtbase.pro, and rely wholly on the regular mechanism from syncqt +
qt_module_headers.prf.
another advantage is that we can be sure that the bootstrapped namespace
is not polluted by the target feature configuration.

Pass -xplatform macx-tvos-clang to configure to build.
Builds device and simulator by default.
Added ‘uikit’ platform with the common setup.
Also added QT_PLATFORM_UIKIT define (undocumented).
qmake config defines tvos (but not ios).
tvOS is 64bits only (QT_ARCH is arm64) and requires bitcode to be
embedded in the binary. A new ‘bitcode’ configuration was added.
For ReleaseDevice builds (which get archived and push to the store),
bitcode is actually embedded (-fembed-bitcode passed to clang). For all
other configurations, only using bitcode markers to keep file size
down (-fembed-bitcode-marker).
Build disables Widgets in qtbase, and qtscript (unsupported,
would require fixes to JavaScriptCore source code).
Qpa same as on iOS but disables device orientation, status bar, clipboard,
menus, dialogs which are not supported on tvOS.

the main objective was to fix the bootstrap modules in framework builds.
bootstrapped modules which "borrow" headers from "proper" modules can
specify this in a clean way now.
a side effect of this is that the bootstrap-dbus module now has its own
syncqt call.
most includepath-related setup from qt_module_pris.prf was moved to
qt_module_headers.prf.

Prefer -std=gnu++11 unless strict_c++11 is defined. You can enable
strict C++11/C++14 mode by using
CONFIG += strict_c++
That is enabled for Qt's own code, so we we don't accidentally use GNU
extensions in portable code.
There's no support for strict C++98 mode (that is, the -ansi option).
[ChangeLog][qmake] By default, GNU extensions are now enabled with
Clang, GCC and ICC even in C++11 and C++14 modes. To disable the GNU
extensions, add to your .pro file: CONFIG += strict_c++.

tst_qdebug didn't test adding something else after the MyLine object,
so I didn't realize that a space was missing there. All debug operators
should end with maybeSpace(), but with the settings of the caller, so this
requires restoring the settings before calling it. To make it convenient
for all << operators, the destructor of QDebugStateSaver takes care of that.

This is the first step in implementing an in-place conversion of QString
to QByteArray. This requires ref-qualifiers in member functions so we
know that we have an rvalue QString.
Converting from UTF-16 to Latin1 always requires half the memory.
For conversion from UTF-16 to UTF-8, the typical string will also need
the same memory or less: characters from U+0000 to U+007F consume one
fewer byte; characters from U+0080 to U+07FF and from U+10000 to
U+1FFFFF occupy the same space in UTF-8 and UTF-16; it's only the ones
from U+0800 to U+FFFF that consume more space in the UTF-8 string.
For the locale's 8-bit codec, we can't be sure and the code (currently)
needs to go through QTextCodec anyway.
This requires a #define set before #include'ing "qstring.h". However,
since qstring.h is included by the QtCore PCH, we need an extra qmake
compiler without the PCH flags to compile this .cpp.
After this change, the distribution of calls in QtCore, Network, Gui,
and Widgets is as follows:
const & &&
toUtf8 31 (74%) 11 (26%)
toLatin1 79 (77%) 24 (23%)
toLocal8Bit 26 (16%) 138 (84%)

For most bootstrapped tools, the QT_EVAL code will not
have any effect, because most of the tools don't instantiate
a QCoreApplication. However, qdoc is bootstrapped for cross
compilation, and will instantiate QCoreApplication which
calls the QT_EVAL code. Since the QT_EVAL code requires QObject,
and QObject requires moc, it does not make sense to compile the
eval code into the bootstrap library. Instead, we simply disable
it to make sure the build succeeds.

the only remaining built-in version extraction is the fallback to

as a "side effect", this fixes the build of modules with mismatched

far.

The former applies both on Mac OS X and iOS, but 'macx' is specific to
Mac OS X.
ios.conf and macx.conf now share most of their settings in the common
mac.conf. We set the default QMAKE_MAC_SDK before loading mac.conf, so
that any overrides in the device config will apply afterwards. This
means configure's mkspec parsing will be able to read the QMAKE_MAC_SDK.

(Currently, the Qt5 windows packages lack the tiff and mng plugins
from qtimageformats because of this issue.)
If Qt is configured to use its bundled zlib, it is compiled into
QtCore, and the public symbols are exported so that it can be used
by other Qt libraries. However, after modularization, this did not
work for libraries outside qtbase, since they did not have access
to the headers of the bundled zlib.
This commit fixes that.
