* QAbstractItemView: Make sure to update the editor geometriesChristian Ehrlicher2020-02-231-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | QAbstractItemView::setIndexWidget() does not trigger a relayouting when a new widget is set. This results in a wrong editor geometry under some circumstances. Fix it by triggering a delayed relayout. Fixes: QTBUG-81763 Change-Id: I75d0e19bd5e56d63effe4990d782d202fb39e3e6 Reviewed-by: Friedemann Kleint <Friedemann.Kleint@qt.io>

* QAbstractItemView: do not request illegal model indexesGiuseppe D'Angelo2020-02-141-9/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | If a model is empty, there is no index (0, 0); requesting it is undefined behavior. Rather than protecting the calls with checks on rowCount/columnCount, remove the Q_ASSERTs altogether: they're trying to do some basic sanity checks on the model, something that doesn't belong to a view (but, say, to QAbstractItemModelTester). * Item views: do not clip items horizontally in dragging iconEirik Aavitsland2019-12-062-2/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The dragging icon is created from the visible items in the selection. It would be clipped to the parts visible in the viewport. That meant that items on the edge could be rendered illegible, even though they were part of what was being dragged. Fix by dropping the horizontal clipping to the viewport. Items fully outside the viewport are already filtered away, so this should at most make a difference to the bottom and/or top items in the set. Keep the vertical clipping, since items may easily be very wide, so an unclipped icon would be unwieldy. | * Item views: fix regression causing unexpected widget overlappingEirik Aavitsland2019-10-101-9/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A certain geometry adjustment was (practically) introduced in Qt 5.11, and caused very surprising behavior, where item widgets will often overwrite neighbouring cells. This has resulted in a number of bug reports. Since the adjustment has such serious side effects, and does not seem to be relevant any longer for the issue for which it was intended, remove it here. More details: From early Qt 4 times, QStyledItemDelegate would do some automatic expansion of the geometry of editor widgets - but only if the layout was RightToLeft. Hence, the effect of it was rarely seen. QTBUG-37433 did, for Qt 5.10, and complained about it. However, the resulting code change did not remove the adjustment, but instead extended it to apply to the normal LeftToRight layout also. Hence, more users experienced it, and reported it as a regression. Also, now in Qt 5.13, it seems Qt has changed in other ways, and the geometry adjustment no longer seems to help (or indeed make any difference to) the original case in QTBUG-37433. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If there is an item already selected then the pressed position needs to be updated regardless when selecting a new one even if it is not made current as this will be used to determine the drag distance. Otherwise it will start a drag within one pixel of moving due to the fact it is doing it relative to the first item to be pressed rather than the last. * | QTree/TableView: Don't emit clicked when releasing after double clickVolker Hilsheimer2019-08-292-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If an item is double clicked, then without this fix, the views emit the clicked() signal when the mousebutton is released after the double click event. This is unexpected and wrong. QAbstractItemView keeps track of the item the mouse was pressed on, to verify that the release occurred on the same item before emitting clicked, and to make sure we have a valid pressed item before initiating drag'n'drop. By resetting d->pressedItem when a double click has been handled, we can prevent the emission of a clicked signal in the next release event. [ChangeLog][QtWidgets][QTreeView] Don't emit clicked signal after a doubleClicked signal. | | * Don't render PE_PanelItemViewRow under tree decoration if style says noShawn Rutledge2019-05-151-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Fusion style's SH_ItemView_ShowDecorationSelected hint is hard-coded to 1, but in QCommonStyle::drawPrimitive (which QFusionStyle inherits) it only asked its own QFusionStyle::styleHint() before drawing the background that happens to be under the tree row decoration (arrow thingy or +/- symbol). And the style doing the rendering does not know about QStyleSheetStyle so by the time we get to QCommonStyle::drawPrimitive() it's too late to check. Therefore QTreeView needs to avoid calling it in this case. * | | QTableView: replace QLinkedList with std::listMarc Mutz2019-05-142-21/+22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The object is never copied, so there's no point in using a cow'ed list implementation. Apart from the usual API adaptions (isEmpty() -> empty(), append() -> push_back()), alse replaced two foreach-loops with ranged-for. The first one does not call into out-of-line functions, and doesn't modify the container it iterates over, so is safe. The second does call into out-of-line functions, but they are const. The loop does not modify the container it iterates over, either, so is also safe (except for some fishy const_cast somewhere, or const being lost due to shallowness of const). Also replaced explicit-iterator loops with ranged-for where possible. Change-Id: I60b0f2d356846d527bfbaa6a0ecbb8395013b852 Reviewed-by: Lars Knoll <lars.knoll@qt.io>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Both in drawAndClipSpans(), as well as callee QSpanCollection::spansInRect(), a QSet is used to ensure uniqueness of elements. In both cases, the QSet is converted to QList, and the list is iterated over. Just iterate over the QSet directly... | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Users should use range constructors instead to do the conversion. Keep conversion methods between QList and QVector as these will turn into a no-op in Qt 6, whereas forcing people to use range constructors would lead to deep copies of the data.
