Some customers still need this for interoperability with legacy code.
Let's continue to keep it working in 5.9.x, and then move to
64-bit exclusive features (thus dropping 32-bit entirely) in 5.10.

This was accidentally removed when we revamped the document
mode tabs appearance.
In retrospect, we should also consider adding CE_TabBarTabIcon
so that we can set the relative position of the icon w.r.t.
the tab title.

We move the code forcing white text on the current tab to
QMacStyle. This removes the small encapsulation violation
even though we need to check for the tab text color in the
style and modify the palette.

When the tabbar styling was improved in change
175f33ed855b0a8a30daafacd4f48fa3f8e76a9b it changed
PM_TabBarBaseHeight to 21 which is incorrect as this value represents
the spacing between the tab pages and the tabbar. In macOS style
there is no space so this should be set to 0.

Calling initWithFrame repeatedly on the same object
leaks memory since internal structures allocated on
the previous init call will not be released.
However, initWithFrame is the only API that can set
scroller direction, which is does based on the geometry.
Use two scroller objets, one for each of the horizontal
and vertical cases.

Cocoa is better than us at vertically flipping views,
so we use that API instead of fiddling with the graphics
context transforms. But only so from 10.12 onwards. Go
figure.
This also fixes a one pixel offset with horizontal sliders
handle on non-retina displays.

In this case we can safely return the same QSize which we accept since
it is already contains the right size for the given menu and this size
will be bounded to screen geometry before QMenu will be displayed
anyway. We also get rid of one dependency on HITheme.

NSSetFocusRingStyle() doesn't take the device pixel ratio
into account for offscreen graphics contexts. As a result,
the focus ring would appear too thin on retina displays.
Therefore, we need to render the focus ring in a more manual
way. The only added dependency is the focus ring's opacity
value and thickness.
This patch fixes CE_FocusFrame and the focus ring around
regular QPushButtons. More work needs to be done for other
widgets that currently rely on HITheme or NSControl–NSCell
to draw their focus ring.

So that QFlags can use an (un)signed int matching the
underlying type as identified by the compiler and not by us.
Requires fixing a few warnings about sign conversion due to
QFlags misusages in qtbase that were either plain wrong, or
were relying on the enum being backed by an (un)signed int
when it wasn't.
Keep qtypetraits.h in the source tree in order to prevent
source breaks if some downstream #includes it (note however
that it did not contain any public API).

... And refactor to use it for drawing CE_MenuItem.
This removes a couple calls to HITheme. Instead, we
use CoreText to render the checkmark character. Notice
that this is what we were doing with HITheme for
CE_MenuItem. Drawing PE_IndicatorMenuCheckMark was
done manually, and in a way that has not been updated.
Notice also that the choice of color from the palette
has also been fixed to look for the State_Selected state
instead of the State_On state, in accordance with
QCommonStyle. In fact, on macOS, the checkmark is never
rendered when the State_On bit is clear. Moreover, we
systematically pick the checkmark color from the style
option palette.
[ChangeLog][QtWidgets][QMacStyle] PE_IndicatorMenuCheckMark
looks for State_On instead of the State_Selected to set its
highlighted state. Its color is picked from the style option
palette.

Originally on macOS it would override any tab text color with white
for the active tab as it would set it directly on the option palette
inside the style code. This would cause it to ignore any changes done
by the user in a changed option, via setTabTextColor or in a proxy
style. Therefore the setting of the color should be done when the style
option is initialized and only if the tab text color has not been
set by the user.
This has the added effect of making it easier to change the color for
tabs via a stylesheet since it will not be overridden in the style but
setup correctly in the option instead.

As of version 10.12 (Sierra), the name of Apple's desktop operating
system will be macOS. Change the occurrences where the Mac platform
is discussed to use a macro \macos, which expands to 'macOS'. This
helps with adapting to future renaming.
Update the instructions on mac-specific Q_OS_* macro usage.
Add a \target for the old 'Qt for OS X' topic to keep links working
for other documentation modules that try to link with the old name.

5.7 deleted a bunch of methods; not clear why merge got confused.
src/tools/moc/moc.cpp
One added a name to the copyright header; another changed its URL.

Conflicts:
qmake/library/qmakebuiltins.cpp
qmake/library/qmakeevaluator.cpp
qmake/library/qmakeevaluator.h
qmake/project.h
QMakeEvaluator:
* evaluateConditional(): one side changed return type, the other
changed a parameter type.
* split_value_list(): one side changed a parameter adjacent to where ...
* expandVariableReferences(): ... the other killed one overload and
changed the survivor
src/corelib/io/qlockfile_unix.cpp
One side changed a #if condition, the other moved NETBSD's part of
what it controlled.
src/corelib/tools/qdatetime.cpp
One side fixed a reachable Q_UNREACHABLE in toMSecsSinceEpoch(), the
other moved it from the private class to the public one, in the midst
of the "short date-time" optimization, which confused diff entirely.
One side changed a QStringLiteral to QLatin1String, the other rewrote
adjoining code.
src/network/kernel/qauthenticator.cpp
Both rewrote a line, equivalently; kept the dev version.
src/platformsupport/fontdatabases/mac/qfontengine_coretext.mm
src/platformsupport/fontdatabases/mac/qfontengine_coretext_p.h
One side changed #if-ery that the other removed.
tools/configure/configureapp.cpp
One side added a check to -target parsing; the other killed -target.

tests/auto/testlib/selftests/expected_cmptest.teamcity
tests/auto/testlib/selftests/expected_cmptest.txt
tests/auto/testlib/selftests/expected_cmptest.xml
tests/auto/testlib/selftests/expected_cmptest.xunitxml
Regenerated using generate_expected_output.py
I note that quite a few other expected_* come out changed, now.
There was no git-conflict in
src/widgets/kernel/qformlayout.cpp
but it didn't compile; one side removed some unused methods; the other
found uses for one of them. Put FixedColumnMatrix<>::removeRow(int)
back for its new user.

Conflicts:
qmake/library/qmakeevaluator.cpp
One side changed the iterator to use ranged-for, the other changed its
body; they only conflicted because the latter had to add braces around
the body, intruding on the for-line. Trivial resolution.

styleHint for SH_FocusFrame_Mask calls drawControl with a painter created
for pixmap. We only test pixmapSize.isValid(), but the size (0,0) is also 'isValid',
and we end up with a QPainter with an invalid paintEngine (null) crashing in
drawControl.
