* Deprecate constructing QFlags from a pointerAllan Sandfeld Jensen2019-11-201-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | This was used to support QFlags f = 0 initialization, but with 0 used as a pointer literal now considered bad form, it had been changed many places to QFlags f = nullptr, which is meaningless and confusing. * Specify year in month name lookups for QCalendarWidgetEdward Welbourne2019-10-251-14/+21
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The compiler didn't complain at a QLocale::FormatType values being passed for the int year parameters of the month-name functions, which all have a default for their final QLocale::FormatType parameters. So we didn't notice that the year parameter was missing until the bug was reported. Removed some code duplication by giving QCalendarModel a monthName() method. Reworked QCalendarMonthValidator::text() to avoid repeated calendar calculations (and use fewer braces). * Finish deprecating obsolete members of QWheelEventShawn Rutledge2019-07-121-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In Qt 5.0, delta() and orientation() were already marked obsolete, but Widgets and tests have kept on depending on them all this time. We now start using alternative API so they can really be deprecated. All constructors except the newest one are also deprecated. The plan is for all events from pointing devices to have QPointF position() and globalPosition(), so we deprecate the other position accessors. [ChangeLog][QtGui] Obsolete constructors and accessors in QWheelEvent now have proper deprecation macros. What is left is intended to be compatible with planned changes in Qt 6. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This compiler seems to require explicit initialization of all member variables in a constexpr constructor, even if they have an implicit default constructor of their own. We probably fixed the rest of Qt a couple of years ago, but not these two places because they were arrays and those require the C++11 syntax for uniform initialization. All compilers that support constexpr do support uniform initialization. MSVC 2015 fixed our issues with it on the same update. |/ / | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Commit c5db8fc74 changed all instances of Q_WS_FOO to have the prefix Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4 instead, to make it clearer when reading the code that the code in question was a left-over from Qt4, when we used Q_WS_ defines instead of Q_OS_ defines. This worked well for cases of #ifdef Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4, but less so for cases of #ifndef Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4, where the code was actually unconditionally included. To make this even clearer, the defines have been replaced by checks for 1 or 0, with a comment describing how the code used to look in Qt4. The use of constants in the check also makes it easier for editors to parse the condition and show visually that the code is defined out. Moved conditional code around where possible so that we could always use Q_UNLIKELY, instead of having to revert to Q_LIKELY here and there. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The logic for handling cancel operations was spread out through the code base and sometimes hard-coded to only include the Escape key shortcut, missing the Command+. shortcut. We now intercept both attempts at cancel operations from the system through cancelOperation, which we forward as normal key events. A new QKeySequence::StandardKey has been added for the Cancel sequence, which maps to Escape on all platforms, and Command+. in addition for OS X. The hard-coded logic in QWidget and subclasses for dealing with closing the dialogs has been replaced with this key sequence, which allows clients to override the behavior. Note that the widget code is not wrapped in checks for QT_NO_SHORTCUT, as we don't care about keeping widgets building and working under that define. The logic in QCocoaWindow to bypass windowShouldClose when delivering IM events has been removed as we now handle that specific case by also forwarding Escape as a cancel operation. * QCalendarWidget: simplify formatNumber()Marc Mutz2015-02-041-10/+1
| | | | | | | | The code just does the sprintf-equivalent of %0<n>d where <n>=fieldWidth. Be explicit and use QString::rightJustified(). Change-Id: I7d72b5d62e5de581ba4207eba0d358a18f0b1972 Reviewed-by: Olivier Goffart (Woboq GmbH) <ogoffart@woboq.com>
* Make it more obvious that Q_WS_ is dead code, and should perhaps be portedTor Arne Vestbø2015-02-031-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | We still have a bunch of Q_WS_ ifdefs in our code, which are easy to mistake for Q_OS_ ifdefs when quickly scanning the code. By renaming the ifdefs we make it clear that the code in question is dead. In incremental follow-ups, we can then selectively either remove, or port, the pieces that are dead code. | | | | | | | | | | | | The three validators in QCalendarDateValidator were heap-allocated, but the pointers were never reseated. Allocate by-value instead. Text size savings are minimal.
