So we didn't notice that the year parameter was missing until the bug was reported. Removed some code duplication by giving QCalendarModel a monthName() method. Reworked QCalendarMonthValidator::text() to avoid repeated calendar calculations (and use fewer braces). We now start using alternative API so they can really be deprecated. All constructors except the newest one are also deprecated. The plan is for all events from pointing devices to have QPointF position() and globalPosition(), so we deprecate the other position accessors. [ChangeLog][QtGui] Obsolete constructors and accessors in QWheelEvent now have proper deprecation macros. What is left is intended to be compatible with planned changes in Qt 6. We probably fixed the rest of Qt a couple of years ago, but not these two places because they were arrays and those require the C++11 syntax for uniform initialization. All compilers that support constexpr do support uniform initialization. MSVC 2015 fixed our issues with it on the same update. This worked well for cases of #ifdef Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4, but less so for cases of #ifndef Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4, where the code was actually unconditionally included. To make this even clearer, the defines have been replaced by checks for 1 or 0, with a comment describing how the code used to look in Qt4. The use of constants in the check also makes it easier for editors to parse the condition and show visually that the code is defined out. In QSystemTrayIcon::setVisible(), as a drive-by, I swapped the evaluation order of an &&-expression (newly wrapped in Q_UNLIKELY) to be more readable and more efficient (cheaper check first) at the same time. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The logic for handling cancel operations was spread out through the code base and sometimes hard-coded to only include the Escape key shortcut, missing the Command+. shortcut. We now intercept both attempts at cancel operations from the system through cancelOperation, which we forward as normal key events. A new QKeySequence::StandardKey has been added for the Cancel sequence, which maps to Escape on all platforms, and Command+. in addition for OS X. The hard-coded logic in QWidget and subclasses for dealing with closing the dialogs has been replaced with this key sequence, which allows clients to override the behavior. Note that the widget code is not wrapped in checks for QT_NO_SHORTCUT, as we don't care about keeping widgets building and working under that define. The logic in QCocoaWindow to bypass windowShouldClose when delivering IM events has been removed as we now handle that specific case by also forwarding Escape as a cancel operation.
