| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When changing the style of the combobox, the change will not propagate to the internal container widget, so the changeEvent handler won't be called. This is correct (as per QWidget::setStyle documentation). QComboBoxPrivateContainer asks the combobox style for relevant settings, such as the frame style, which is then used for sizing and positioning. If the combobox's and container's settings become inconsistent, then the combobox popup will not get the correct size and/or position. Move some of the style-dependent changes into a separate function and call it when the QComboBox::changeEvent handles the style change so that both widgets have a consistent set of settings. Add a test case that verifies that the style is asked for the relevant setting when the style changes. Note: QComboBox does a lot of style-dependent setup work in different places, which is quite messy and complex. Trying to consolidate that further breaks tests though, so this change is doing the minimum necessary to fix the reported issue. Resizing the widget after showing it is not ideal, but in practice makes no visible difference (and it's either way preferable to not being able to access the item covered by the scrollbar). This assumes that QGuiApplication::screen and QWidget::screen never return nullptr, which is already assumed in other places. In QSplashScreen, simplify the code to operate on the screen of the QSplashScreen itself. Remove the case that handles a QDesktopWidget parent - QSplashScreen doesn't have a constructor that takes a QWidget* parent anymore. In the QEffect implementation, we can rely on the widget pointer not being nullptr (it's tested in the free functions client code uses). Includes a few drive-by changes to coding style and logic in qtooltip.cpp, where the tip label placement now prefers the screen of the widget the label is created for, and uses the position only as a fallback. What remains is the special handling of QDesktopWidget and the Qt::Desktop type in QWidget and QApplication. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove QDestopWidget public header, simplify the implementation that maintains a Qt::Desktop type QWidget for each QScreen, and turn QWidget's initial target screen into a QScreen pointer. QApplication::desktop() now takes an optional QScreen pointer, and returns a QWidget pointer, so that applications and widgets can get access to the root widget for a specific screen without having to resort to private APIs. QDesktopWidgetPrivate implementations to look up a screen for an index, widget, or point are now all inline functions that thinly wrap QGuiApplication::screens/screenAt calls. We should consider adding those as convenience APIs to QScreen instead. Note that QWidget::screen is assumed to return a valid pointer; there is code that handles the case that it returns nullptr (but also code that trusts that it never is nullptr), so this needs to be defined, verified with tests, and asserted. We can then simplify the code further. Adapted the Private API of QDateTimeParser and QMimeDataPrivate and adjust QDateTimeEdit and QSpinBox. QVariant(QVariant::Invalid) in qstylesheet made no sense. But note that in QVariant::save, we actually wanted to use the non-user type. In the SQL module, many changes were actually reverted because the API still expects QVarient::Type. In that case, checkable items were not supported; the QComboBox didn't pass the checked state correctly to the style, and the delegate used for rendering the items into the list view did not implement modifying the checked state of the item. However, the QStyleOptionMenuItem's checked state and checkType members were set anyway, as on e.g. macOS style we use a checkmark to show which item is currently selected in the combobox. The QStyle::State enum defines State_On and State_Off for toggleable things, so in addition to setting QStyleOptionMenuItem::checked, we are now also adding State_On or State_Off if the model provides a valid checked/unchecked state. Otherwise, we only set the checked state if the item is currently selected. In addition, we implement the delegate to support toggling of checkable model data with mouse and keyboard, using a simplified version of the QItemDelegate implementation. To avoid spurious item toggles when the popup is opened, we only handle mouse releases when the press was on the same row. In the fusion style, we ignore the workaround to let QtQuickControls render comboboxes if State_On or State_Off are set.
