| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When changing the style of the combobox, the change will not propagate to the internal container widget, so the changeEvent handler won't be called. This is correct (as per QWidget::setStyle documentation). QComboBoxPrivateContainer asks the combobox style for relevant settings, such as the frame style, which is then used for sizing and positioning. If the combobox's and container's settings become inconsistent, then the combobox popup will not get the correct size and/or position. Move some of the style-dependent changes into a separate function and call it when the QComboBox::changeEvent handles the style change so that both widgets have a consistent set of settings. Add a test case that verifies that the style is asked for the relevant setting when the style changes. Note: QComboBox does a lot of style-dependent setup work in different places, which is quite messy and complex. Trying to consolidate that further breaks tests though, so this change is doing the minimum necessary to fix the reported issue. Most styleable QWidget classes provide a virtual method initStyleOption that initializes the option object passed in as a pointer, e.g QFrame, QAbstractSpinBox, or QComboBox. Follow that API convention, but name it initViewItemOption, as the QStyleOptionViewItem struct contains information about the item as well as the widget itelf. This is a source incompatible change that will go unnoticed unless existing subclasses mark their overrides as 'override', or call the removed QAbstractItemView::viewOption virtual function. [ChangeLog][QtWidgets][QAbstractItemView] The virtual viewOptions method that previously returned a QStyleOptionViewItem object has been renamed to initViewItemOption, and initializes a QStyleOptionViewItem object that's passed in through a pointer. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove QDestopWidget public header, simplify the implementation that maintains a Qt::Desktop type QWidget for each QScreen, and turn QWidget's initial target screen into a QScreen pointer. QApplication::desktop() now takes an optional QScreen pointer, and returns a QWidget pointer, so that applications and widgets can get access to the root widget for a specific screen without having to resort to private APIs. QDesktopWidgetPrivate implementations to look up a screen for an index, widget, or point are now all inline functions that thinly wrap QGuiApplication::screens/screenAt calls. We should consider adding those as convenience APIs to QScreen instead. Note that QWidget::screen is assumed to return a valid pointer; there is code that handles the case that it returns nullptr (but also code that trusts that it never is nullptr), so this needs to be defined, verified with tests, and asserted. We can then simplify the code further. In that case, checkable items were not supported; the QComboBox didn't pass the checked state correctly to the style, and the delegate used for rendering the items into the list view did not implement modifying the checked state of the item. However, the QStyleOptionMenuItem's checked state and checkType members were set anyway, as on e.g. macOS style we use a checkmark to show which item is currently selected in the combobox. The QStyle::State enum defines State_On and State_Off for toggleable things, so in addition to setting QStyleOptionMenuItem::checked, we are now also adding State_On or State_Off if the model provides a valid checked/unchecked state. Otherwise, we only set the checked state if the item is currently selected. In addition, we implement the delegate to support toggling of checkable model data with mouse and keyboard, using a simplified version of the QItemDelegate implementation. To avoid spurious item toggles when the popup is opened, we only handle mouse releases when the press was on the same row. In the fusion style, we ignore the workaround to let QtQuickControls render comboboxes if State_On or State_Off are set. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | It's been for years that QMenu's rounded corners in qmacstyle_mac were done via QWidget::setMask(QRegion). Unfortunately, QRegion mask does not work well with retina displays and also does not support translucency. That's why in this change we explicitly make QMenu's background transparent and then draw a rectangle with rounded corners in QMacStyle::drawPrimitive(PE_PanelMenu). This not only gives much better result than the mask-based approach, but also de-HIThemes QMenu. As a consequence, QComboBoxPrivateContainer doesn't get any mask from QMacStyle anymore. Therefore, when the mask is empty, we need to paint PE_PanelMenu before invoking QFrame's paint event handler.
