| * Fix editing of QDateTimeEdit in 12-hour locales that don't use AM/PMVolker Hilsheimer2019-05-281-2/+20
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The code made two incorrect assumptions: that the strings used are "AM" or "PM", or would be translated. Instead, the locale provides the correct strings, and there is no need to translate. However, in order not to break existing translations, we give those preference. And that the AM/PM string is not longer than 4 characters, while in e.g Spanish/Columbia locale the strings are "A. M." and "P. M.", ie 5 characters long. Also, the use of qMin in a function that is asked to provide the maximum section length is wrong. [ChangeLog][QWidgets][QDateTimeEdit] Use the information provided by the locale to determine the AM/PM strings, unless they are already translated. |/ / | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | These methods give the first and last QDateTime values in the given day, for a given time-zone or time-spec. These are usually the relevant midnight, or the millisecond before, except when time-zone transitions (typically DST changes) skip it, when care is needed to select the right moment. Adapted some code to make use of the new API, eliminating some old cruft from qdatetimeparser_p.h in the process. [ChangeLog][QtCore][QDate] Added startOfDay() and endOfDay() methods to provide a QDateTime at the start and end of a given date, taking account of any time skipped by transitions, e.g. a DST spring-forward, which can lead to a day starting at 01:00 or ending just before 23:00. A copy of the first was already being passed back in the returned struct; and the one caller that wanted the modified value was in fact copying this copy back over the QString it had passed in (that was thus equal already). |/ / | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Commit c5db8fc74 changed all instances of Q_WS_FOO to have the prefix Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4 instead, to make it clearer when reading the code that the code in question was a left-over from Qt4, when we used Q_WS_ defines instead of Q_OS_ defines. This worked well for cases of #ifdef Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4, but less so for cases of #ifndef Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4, where the code was actually unconditionally included. To make this even clearer, the defines have been replaced by checks for 1 or 0, with a comment describing how the code used to look in Qt4. The use of constants in the check also makes it easier for editors to parse the condition and show visually that the code is defined out. | * QDateTimeEdit: synchronize time-spec before initializing displayEdward Welbourne2016-09-271-1/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | QDateTimeEdit ignores the time-spec of its date-time value, using its own time-spec instead; mostly, this works because it first conforms the value to its own time-spec. However, during construction, before doing this, it set up its display data, which could leave it with a different time (rather than a different representation of the given time) than it was asked to use. Moved the updateTimeSpec() calls to immediately after setting value in QDateTimeEditPrivate::init() to ensure correct handling. Added test. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Both constructors set up the first, last and none members. QDateTimeEditPrivate wants first.pos = 0, different to its base, so keep that, but the rest merely duplicated.
