QFontMetrics(F)::width() has been deprecated and is replaced by
horizontalAdvance(). This updates all usage of it in tests and
documentation.
It is worth noting that many or most of the usages of
QFontMetrics::width() probably intended to use boundingRect().width(),
but since it currently works, I have not looked into that, just
replaced the function name mechanically.

Test-case taken from bug-report; fits in as an easy row in an existing
data-driven test. Add similar tests for date-time and time; and an
isValid test on the end of year 9999. The date-time parser was using
the end of year 7999 as maximum value for dates and date-times; extend
this to year 9999, as I can see no reason not to.
[ChangeLog][QtCore][QDateTime] Years up to 9999 can now be parsed
without error (previously 8000 and beyond were treated as invalid) in
all formats (not only in ISO format). Widgets handling dates now
support dates to 9999, likewise.

Its first two arguments were non-const references that it modified.
A copy of the first was already being passed back in the returned
struct; and the one caller that wanted the modified value was in fact
copying this copy back over the QString it had passed in (that was
thus equal already). So passing by value is fine.
The second's only change was increment by a field I've just added to
StateNode in refactoring parse(); so we can let the caller do that
adding, instead.

The styles change and the screenshots become outdated very fast, so
it is easier to update just one screenshot now and then. The styles
can still be seen in the style gallery topics.
The image files will be removed in a follow-up commit after all
references to them have been removed.

Commit c5db8fc74 changed all instances of Q_WS_FOO to have the prefix
Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4 instead, to make it clearer when reading the code
that the code in question was a left-over from Qt4, when we used
Q_WS_ defines instead of Q_OS_ defines.
This worked well for cases of #ifdef Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4, but less so
for cases of #ifndef Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4, where the code was actually
unconditionally included.
To make this even clearer, the defines have been replaced by checks for
1 or 0, with a comment describing how the code used to look in Qt4. The
use of constants in the check also makes it easier for editors to parse
the condition and show visually that the code is defined out.

QDateTimeEdit ignores the time-spec of its date-time value, using its
own time-spec instead; mostly, this works because it first conforms
the value to its own time-spec. However, during construction, before
doing this, it set up its display data, which could leave it with a
different time (rather than a different representation of the given
time) than it was asked to use.
Moved the updateTimeSpec() calls to immediately after setting value in
QDateTimeEditPrivate::init() to ensure correct handling. Added test.

The name, format and maxChange of a Section depend only on the
section, not on the details of the currently parsed text it matches;
so we don't need the parser object's list of all sections to work them
out. Move these methods to the SectionNode and act directly on that
instead of going via the section list.
Make the name take a Section enum instead of an int.
Likewise, make stateName take a State enum instead of an int.

GCC 5.3's undefined-behavior sanitizer checks that the
declared type of the object is a base class of the
dynamic type of the object on each access to a member
of a class type.
It therefore requires the typeinfo for these types,
which for polymorphic types is emitted in the TU where
the vtable is emitted, too.
QFileDialogPrivate is a polymorphic non-exported class,
so this failed at link-time. Ditto for the other cases.
Fix by autotest-exporting the classs.
Also, where applicable, de-inline the dtors, so the
vtable (and typeinfo) are pinned to one TU, and the
ctor, just because it's the correct thing to do.

If, after checking a condition, we issue a qWarning(),
by definition that check is unlikely to be true.
Tell the compiler so it can move the error handling
code out of the normal code path to increase the
effective icache size.
This change contains the changes to the util/,
dialogs/ and widgets/ subdirs.
Moved conditional code around where possible so that
we could always use Q_UNLIKELY, instead of having to
revert to Q_LIKELY here and there.
In QSystemTrayIcon::setVisible(), as a drive-by, I
swapped the evaluation order of an &&-expression
(newly wrapped in Q_UNLIKELY) to be more readable
and more efficient (cheaper check first) at the same
time.

The logic for handling cancel operations was spread out through
the code base and sometimes hard-coded to only include the Escape
key shortcut, missing the Command+. shortcut.
We now intercept both attempts at cancel operations from the system
through cancelOperation, which we forward as normal key events.
A new QKeySequence::StandardKey has been added for the Cancel sequence,
which maps to Escape on all platforms, and Command+. in addition for
OS X. The hard-coded logic in QWidget and subclasses for dealing
with closing the dialogs has been replaced with this key sequence,
which allows clients to override the behavior. Note that the widget
code is not wrapped in checks for QT_NO_SHORTCUT, as we don't care
about keeping widgets building and working under that define.
The logic in QCocoaWindow to bypass windowShouldClose when delivering
IM events has been removed as we now handle that specific case by
also forwarding Escape as a cancel operation.

We still have a bunch of Q_WS_ ifdefs in our code, which are easy to
mistake for Q_OS_ ifdefs when quickly scanning the code. By renaming
the ifdefs we make it clear that the code in question is dead.
In incremental follow-ups, we can then selectively either remove, or
port, the pieces that are dead code.

Destructors should be out-of-line so that the compiler doesn't generate
one per translation unit.
Apart from creating more work for the compiler, it can also lead to
duplicated vtables if the dtor is the first virtual function
(reimplementation), and all other virtuals are inline, too.
Duplicate vtables then break RTTI.
In addition, having virtual dtors de-inlined allows us to add code
to them in a BC way.
As a final argument, this change may lead to less code app-side, since
a sequence of cross-DLL calls (to member variable dtors) is replaced
by a single cross-DLL call to the new out-of-line dtor.
