... from widget class descriptions.
Use one screenshot from Windows instead.
The styles change and the screenshots become outdated very fast, so
it is easier to update just one screenshot now and then. The styles
can still be seen in the style gallery topics.
The image files will be removed in a follow-up commit after all
references to them have been removed.

Most of these involved moving or removing extraneous
aide-memoir comments left by programmers between qdoc
comments and their functions. There were also some
cases where Q_CLANG_QDOC had to be tested to make
something visible to clangqdoc. And there were a few
functions that should not have been documented at all.

Commit c5db8fc74 changed all instances of Q_WS_FOO to have the prefix
Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4 instead, to make it clearer when reading the code
that the code in question was a left-over from Qt4, when we used
Q_WS_ defines instead of Q_OS_ defines.
This worked well for cases of #ifdef Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4, but less so
for cases of #ifndef Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4, where the code was actually
unconditionally included.
To make this even clearer, the defines have been replaced by checks for
1 or 0, with a comment describing how the code used to look in Qt4. The
use of constants in the check also makes it easier for editors to parse
the condition and show visually that the code is defined out.

Remove the hardcoded size 16 from QLineEditIconButton. Replace
QLineEditPrivate::iconSize() by QLineEditPrivate::sideWidgetParameters()
returning a struct SideWidgetParameters containing icon size, widget size and
margins. The 32x32 icon will then be used on a High DPI screen without scaling.

cursorFlashTime will now change dynamically from QPA while platform
controlled text selection (on mobile) is ongoing. This patch
will therefore update QWidgetLineControl so that it listens to the
cursorFlashTimeChanged signal and changes the blinking rate when
triggered.
The previous code had a function setBlinkingRate, which is now
changed to setBlinkingCursorEnabled (like in QWidgetTextControl).
This is because all callers of the function did either pass
"QApplication::cursorFlashTime" or "0", which basically means enable
or disable blinking. This moves the control of the blinking rate
fully to QWidgetLineControl, which simplifies the code a bit, especially
when cursorFlashTime can change.
Note that when setting a blink period to 0, it means "show the
cursor without blinking". AFAICS, the current implementation did
not guarantee that. This is now made more explicit in the code. If
hiding the cursor is needed, a separate function "setCursorVisible"
is already available for controlling that.

Since placeholderText was using the layoutDirection from the control,
it was always getting LTR since there was no text added yet to the
control. By calling the isRightToLeft function on the placeholderText,
we can determine if it is RTL or not and apply that when drawing the
placeholderText. A change was also made to use the proper elide mode
depending on if it is LTR or RTL.

This is private implementation, so there's no BC issue here.
The collections ported here also do not benefit from CoW,
because they are never copied.
Adapt to STL API and replace foreach with C++11 range-for
loops, because the former deep-copies STL containers.
Also replace index-based for loops with C++11 range-for,
to evade the int/size_t problem on MSVC.
Saves a bit more than 1KiB in text size on optimized GCC 4.9
Linux AMD64 builds, not all of which can be attributed to the
ports to range-for.

If, after checking a condition, we issue a qWarning(),
by definition that check is unlikely to be true.
Tell the compiler so it can move the error handling
code out of the normal code path to increase the
effective icache size.
This change contains the changes to the util/,
dialogs/ and widgets/ subdirs.
Moved conditional code around where possible so that
we could always use Q_UNLIKELY, instead of having to
revert to Q_LIKELY here and there.
In QSystemTrayIcon::setVisible(), as a drive-by, I
swapped the evaluation order of an &&-expression
(newly wrapped in Q_UNLIKELY) to be more readable
and more efficient (cheaper check first) at the same
time.

The naturalTextWidth() of the QTextLayout already includes the left
and right bearing of the actual text in the line edit, there's no need
to shift the text based on the minimum left and right bearings as well.
This may result in text that is closer to the edges of the line edit
on platforms that relied on this flawed logic, but that should be
adjusted back using the corresponding style hints.

We still have a bunch of Q_WS_ ifdefs in our code, which are easy to
mistake for Q_OS_ ifdefs when quickly scanning the code. By renaming
the ifdefs we make it clear that the code in question is dead.
In incremental follow-ups, we can then selectively either remove, or
port, the pieces that are dead code.

There's a lot of code now requiring it. Any compiler that doesn't
support the keyword is too old for Qt now. The last time anyone asked
about this macro was for QTBUG-27393 and we don't know which compiler
that was.
As a necessity, this patch contains a reversal of
a0c3a57aed5cde37017733e7cf5e41cc6a1174aa
[ChangeLog][Compiler Specific Changes] Qt 5.5 now unconditionally uses
the "using" keyword. Compilers that do not support this keyword are
deprecated and will not be able to build Qt. Previous versions of Qt may
or may not compile, as no testing was done to ensure it worked.

sizeHint() did it exactly like this, but minimumSizeHint() didn't,
which made it too small. Didn't affect the actual size in most cases
since the vertical size policy is fixed, so sizeHint() is called instead.
But when writing a subclass, if one re-implements sizeHint() by
calling the QLineEdit's minimumSizeHint(), it would then be wrong,
when text margins are used.

This is useful for widget styles to react when widgets are set
read-only, e.g. to update their palette accordingly.
[ChangeLog][QtWidgets] All widgets with a setReadOnly method now
send a ReadOnlyChange event (e.g. for app-specific palette changes)

Mouse selection does not work well with Android and text will be
randomly copied, pasted or deleted. This behavior is especially bad
when predictive text is enabled.

over horizontally centered placeholder text looks bad. Thus,
horizontally centered content is now considered as an exception
and the placeholder text is hidden when the line edit is focused.

As stated in commit 46106c4, placeholder text should not be shown
when an empty QLineEdit has visual preedit text fed by a composing
input method. The same condition applies to setPlaceholderText() in
the sense that there is no need to call update() when the placeholder
text is not even shown.

The condition under which the placeholder text should be shown changed recently,
so refactor the code to centralize the condition.
It turns out that setPlaceholderText() and paintEvent() disagree on the condition
already.
