| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Duplicating the number of classes is a high price to pay to be able to have some QAction functionality behave differently, or be only available in widgets applications. Instead, declare the entire API in QtGui in QAction* classes, and delegate the implementation of QtWidgets specific functionality to the private. The creation of the private is then delegated to the Q(Gui)ApplicationPrivate instance through a virtual factory function. Change some public APIs that are primarily useful for specialized tools such as Designer to operate on QObject* rather than QWidget*. APIs that depend on QtWidgets types have been turned into inline template functions, so that they are instantiated only at the caller side, where we can expect the respective types to be fully defined. This way, we only need to forward declare a few classes in the header, and don't need to generate any additional code for e.g. language bindings. For QActionGroup, the functions addAction(text/icon), which create an action, cannot be implemented in QtGui, hence a base class is needed, too (unless they are deprecated and removed). - Extract base classes providing functionality not based on QtWidgets, using virtuals in QGuiActionPrivate to provide customization points - Change QActionEvent to take QGuiAction, removing the need to forward declare QAction in QtGui [ChangeLog][QtGui] Added QGuiAction(Group) and made the equivalent existing classes in Qt Widgets derive from them. This provides basic functionality for implementing actions in QML. * doc: Fix all clang parse errors in QtBase during PCH buildMartin Smith2018-11-051-30/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This update eliminates ALL parsing errors when clang parses the Qt headers to build the precompiled header qdoc needs. These errors are often cases where an old use of Q_QDOC no longer works because clang sees the enclosed fake declarations as erroneous. In a few cases, clang reported errors because two dummy function declartations under the Q_CLANG_QDOC guard were indistinguishable, so one of them was removed, and the documentation was patched accordingly. Using the macro Q_DECLARE_INTERFACE(...) causes clang to report errors because the class parametewr is abstract. These uses of the macro are not needed, so they are removed with #ifndef Q_CLANG_QDOC. Some declarations of default GL types that had been provided for qdoc were no longer needed, so they are removed. Now there are some member function signatures in QDBusPendingReply and QDBusPendingCall that have very long template clauses and qualifiers in their signatures. These unwieldy signatures will be unnecessary in the documentation and will look bad there, but for now they are correct. The ultimate solution will be to add a metacommand to qdoc, something like \simplify-signature to tell qdoc to generate the documentation for these member functions without the long template caluses and qualifiers. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Commit c5db8fc74 changed all instances of Q_WS_FOO to have the prefix Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4 instead, to make it clearer when reading the code that the code in question was a left-over from Qt4, when we used Q_WS_ defines instead of Q_OS_ defines. This worked well for cases of #ifdef Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4, but less so for cases of #ifndef Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4, where the code was actually unconditionally included. To make this even clearer, the defines have been replaced by checks for 1 or 0, with a comment describing how the code used to look in Qt4. The use of constants in the check also makes it easier for editors to parse the condition and show visually that the code is defined out. The last time anyone asked about this macro was for QTBUG-27393 and we don't know which compiler that was. As a necessity, this patch contains a reversal of a0c3a57aed5cde37017733e7cf5e41cc6a1174aa [ChangeLog][Compiler Specific Changes] Qt 5.5 now unconditionally uses the "using" keyword. Compilers that do not support this keyword are deprecated and will not be able to build Qt. Previous versions of Qt may or may not compile, as no testing was done to ensure it worked. Used together with registerContentBorderArea() this allows changing the border area geometry and enabled status independently. Add section to the QToolBar show/hide event handler which calls setContentBorderAreaEnabled(). Make sure QToolBar and QToolBarLayout uses the same identifier - the QToolBar object pointer. Rename enableContentBorderArea -> setContentBorderEnabled. The "ContentBorder" is now the entire unified toolbar area while "ContentBorderArea"s are the sub-areas covered by toolbars.
