Remove some c-style casts from int to uint which were needed in Qt3 (or

Due to the complex event forwarding logic between QCompleter,
QComboBox, QLineEdit and QWidgetLineControl, in some cases the
same single user return key press could result in duplicated
activated() signals being emitted by QComboBox. The first one
would be emitted because QLineEdit emitted editingFinished()
as a result of QCompleter::eventFilter() having forwarded the
return key press event to QComboBox. The second one, would
happen right after, as QCompleter::eventFilter() would process
the same event on behalf of its popup.
(We recall that QCompleter is installed as its own popup event
filter. That's also the case for the completer's widget, although
the purpose there is limited to focus-out events).
The current fix consists on skipping the emit as a result of
QLineEdit::editingFinished() if the completer's popup is still
active. For this to be accurate, it helps to test whether the
completer's popup is visible, so we will not be hiding it in
QWidgetLineControl::processKeyEvent() anymore. Indeed, we know
that if the popup is visible, that means that processKeyEvent()
was called after being forwarded by the completer's popup event
filter. Furthermore, the popup will be hidden by its event filter
shortly after it returns from said event forwarding call.
Based on a patch by Alexey Chernov <4ernov@gmail.com>.

Private Use Area characters are quite valid input characters when used
in combination with a custom font. Joiners also serve an important language
purpose in semitic writing systems.
Note that there is a hack where we disregard any character produced
using CTRL or CTRL+SHIFT specifically because of German keyboards. I have chosen to
keep the hack in this patch to limit the change (though I have made an exception
for ZWJ and ZWNJ since both are produced using Ctrl+Shift on Windows), but it
will probably have to be reverted.
[ChangeLog][QtWidgets][Input] Accept characters in Private Use Area, as well as
zero-width joiners and zero-width non-joiners in input in QLineEdit and QTextEdit.

Commit c5db8fc74 changed all instances of Q_WS_FOO to have the prefix
Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4 instead, to make it clearer when reading the code
that the code in question was a left-over from Qt4, when we used
Q_WS_ defines instead of Q_OS_ defines.
This worked well for cases of #ifdef Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4, but less so
for cases of #ifndef Q_DEAD_CODE_FROM_QT4, where the code was actually
unconditionally included.
To make this even clearer, the defines have been replaced by checks for
1 or 0, with a comment describing how the code used to look in Qt4. The
use of constants in the check also makes it easier for editors to parse
the condition and show visually that the code is defined out.

the cursor at the beginning of the line (unlike other similar sequences).

cursorFlashTime will now change dynamically from QPA while platform
controlled text selection (on mobile) is ongoing. This patch
will therefore update QWidgetLineControl so that it listens to the
cursorFlashTimeChanged signal and changes the blinking rate when
triggered.
The previous code had a function setBlinkingRate, which is now
changed to setBlinkingCursorEnabled (like in QWidgetTextControl).
This is because all callers of the function did either pass
"QApplication::cursorFlashTime" or "0", which basically means enable
or disable blinking. This moves the control of the blinking rate
fully to QWidgetLineControl, which simplifies the code a bit, especially
when cursorFlashTime can change.
Note that when setting a blink period to 0, it means "show the
cursor without blinking". AFAICS, the current implementation did
not guarantee that. This is now made more explicit in the code. If
hiding the cursor is needed, a separate function "setCursorVisible"
is already available for controlling that.

When a QLineEdit is readonly there's a discrepancy between key press
events and shortcut override events. For instance, presses Ctrl+C
copies the text unless there's also a shortcut for the same key sequence.
In this case, the shortcut override event is not handled, and no text
is copied. Fix it by splitting the handling of shortcut override
events between "read only" access (copy, select, etc.), which still
makes sense on a read only line edit, and write access (paste, ...)
which doesn't.
[ChangeLog][Important Behavior Changes][QLineEdit] QLineEdit will
now accept certain shortcut override events even if it is read only.

We still have a bunch of Q_WS_ ifdefs in our code, which are easy to
mistake for Q_OS_ ifdefs when quickly scanning the code. By renaming
the ifdefs we make it clear that the code in question is dead.
In incremental follow-ups, we can then selectively either remove, or
port, the pieces that are dead code.

This fixes a regression introduced with
c09e9f71173a698670d6c728291ee24f53d50800 which caused the lineedit to
clear the whole text when an invalid character was entered into a lineedit
with an echo mode that was not Normal and a validator was set.
Now if undo() is called directly then it will still clear the text as it
is considered to be called as a user. Whereas the validation will take
care of the invalid entry by using internalUndo() as before which avoids
the clearing of the entire text.

On both iOS and Android it is very confusing to be able to move the focus to both, the line edit and the outer frame that is the spin box.
For Linux this fixes an issue that orca would not read the value correctly after pressing the up/down buttons.
