* QDirIterator: add nextFileInfo()Marc Mutz2021-07-281-3/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Before this change, next() was the only way to advance the iterator, whether the caller was ultimately interested in just the filePath() (good) or not (bad luck, had to call .fileInfo()). Add a new function, nextFileInfo(), with returns fileInfo() instead. Incidentally, the returned object has already been constructed as part of advance()ing the iterator, so the new function is faster than next() even if the result is ignored, because we're not calculating a QString result the caller may not be interested in. Use the new function around the code. Fix a couple of cases of next(); fileInfo().filePath() (just use next()'s return value) as a drive-by. [ChangeLog][QtCore][QDirIterator] Added nextFileInfo(), which is like next(), but returns fileInfo() instead of filePath(). * Q{File,FileInfo,Dir}: add std::filesystem::path overloadsMårten Nordheim2020-03-242-0/+43
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add some overloads where (I thought) it makes sense for QDir and QFile to accept std::filesystem::path objects. Currently my thinking is to not add overloads for static functions where std::filesystem can already do the same job, e.g. create directory or file. Template and enable_if is needed due to both QString and std::filesystem::path being able to be constructed from string literals. The common shared code is currently in QFile because QDir had an implicit include of QFile, made explicit in this patch, and QFileInfo has an include to QFile as well. The QT_HAS_STD_FILESYSTEM macro is visible in user-code which I currently take advantage of in the tests, and users could too. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Applications might receive paths with Windows' '\\?\' markers, which indicates a long path to Win32 APIs, when the application is opened by explorer via file association. Qt not ignoring those markers will fail to open such files. By stripping the marker in QDir::fromNativeSeparators, QFile, QFileInfo etc automatically are able to handle such paths. QDir::cleanPath is also documented to normalize separators, so it needs to be done there as well. [ChangeLog][QtCore][QDir] Remove Windows specific long path markers when handling file paths with native separators. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Its filePath() and absoluteFilePath() don't trust its own isAbsolute(), due to some infelicities on MS-Win; and kludged round a consequent problem with resource paths; but other virtual file systems weren't catered for. Replace the convoluted test there with a static bool function (so that future kludges in this area shall only need to edit one place; and can document why they're needed) and use a more robust test that handles all virtual file systems (by asking QFileInfo) but falls back to QFileSystemEntry to work round the known infelicities on MS-Win. Add regression test for asset library paths issue on iOS. Ammends 27f1f84c1c2. Moved a couple of local variables to after the early return, since it doesn't need them, in the process. [ChangeLog][Core][QDir] QDir now uses QRegularExpression internally for wildcard matching. | * Autotest: make tst_QDir more reliable on tests being run out of orderThiago Macieira2017-03-221-41/+24
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | mkdir(data2) depended on mkdir(data1) being run before, or it would fail. In addition, the rmdir() test required the equivalent mkdir() test being run before. So drop these annoying dependencies and make the tests cleaner by having clear separation of the test data and merging the two tests into one The entryList() test still depends on the testdir being clean: it will fail if mkdirRmdir() previously failed.
