* Disable debug-and-release builds for MinGWSimon Hausmann2019-09-181-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The requirement to separate debug and release DLLs on Windows stems from the Visual Studio C run-time library appearing in two different variants (debug and release) and not mixing well. It's possible to perform builds without optimzations and with debug symbols while linking against the release version of the C run-time, but at the same time the debug version of the run-time brings other developer visible advantages. MinGW on the other hand does not have this distinction, does not ship with separate DLLS and does also not require the VS C runtime library. Therefore we do not need this separation for MinGW, which means that our packages can be reduced in size and application developers wishing to debug their applications do not have to use debug builds of the Qt libraries or run into Qt internal debug code. * Add a Mach-O decoder to the QPluginLoaderThiago Macieira2013-07-201-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We already had an ELF decoder, which helped us greatly to find the metadata and that catches most Unix systems (Solaris, QNX, HP-UXi, and all of the free Unixes). On other Unix systems, aside from Mac OS X, we simply scanned the entire file for the signature. On Windows, even without a COFF-PE decoder, we use a LoadLibrary trick to load the plugin without loading the dependent libraries. In most cases, that works. Unfortunately, on Mac OS X we didn't have a decoder and nor could we do the file scan: because Mac OS X binaries could be fat binaries, we wouldn't know which architecture's signature we had found. No more. This adds a full Mach-O decoder to QtCore. It is also capable of finding the boundaries of the architecture's binary, but that functionality is disabled since all Qt 5 plugins have plugin metadata sections. * QPluginLoader: fix loading of plugins with a relative file nameDavid Faure2012-12-041-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | This makes QT_PLUGIN_PATH / QCoreApplication::libraryPaths() actually work, as a search path for plugins, when apps look for a specific plugin by name. To make it possible to write portable code (unlike the current QPluginLoader unittest), let QPluginLoader figure out the extension, too. * Remove insignification from QPluginLoader and QFactoryLoader tests.Jason McDonald2012-04-171-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Archived build logs on http://testresults.qt-project.org/ci/ show that the QPluginLoader test has failed in CI only once in the last 1000 builds (in build 1786), and on that occasion the test was legitimately blocking a regression. The QFactoryLoader test was derived from the QPluginLoader test and has not failed since its first run on March 29, 2012. * Fixed installation of corelib testsRohan McGovern2011-12-011-6/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In .pro files, removed wince/symbian-specific DEPLOYMENT cases and replaced them with TESTDATA where appropriate. In .cpp files, removed SRCDIR and relative paths to testdata and replaced them with the QFINDTESTDATA macro where appropriate. Modified test helper apps/libs to install themselves under the test they relate to. This change allows corelib tests to be correctly installed, along with their testdata, via `make install'. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is the first change to re-enable the autotests for the individual qtbase modules. This means adding subdir.CONFIG=no_check_target for each module (except corelib) in tests/auto/auto.pro instead of in tests/tests.pro QFileSystemWatcher, QIODeice, QSettings, QTextStream, QSocketNotifier, QVariant, QPluginLoader, QLocale: These tests currently fail, which will block any changes that attempt to re-enable the autotests. Ignore the failures for now by marking them as insignificant. QAbstractItemModel: This test currently crashes, which can destabilize the CI system when attempting to re-enable the autotests. * Disabled tests for refactor->master integrationJo Asplin2011-09-131-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This change disables failing tests to increase the likelihood that 'make check' terminates with a zero exit status. This is done to prevent the CI system from blocking further commits once qtbase#refactor is merged into qtbase#master. Failing tests are marked as insignificant (by putting 'CONFIG += insignificant_test' in the .pro file). Note: This is a temporary measure that needs to be cleaned up once the refactor->master integration is complete. Ideally all disabled tests need to be enabled and passing. All changes will be marked by the string QTBUG-21402 in a comment for easy location.
