* Fix tsts_QShortcut::keys on WaylandEskil Abrahamsen Blomfeldt2021-03-152-1/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Wayland doesn't support explicit window activation, so the qWaitForWindowActive() function won't actually wait for the window to be active. On platforms like this, we just QTRY_VERIFY() for the window activation instead. Task-number: QTBUG-91418 Change-Id: I5f728e6a6bcaac283c026b60e6378b9d5aaf1be5 Reviewed-by: Liang Qi <liang.qi@qt.io>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove the qmake project files for most of Qt. Leave the qmake project files for examples, because we still test those in the CI to ensure qmake does not regress. Also leave the qmake project files for utils and other minor parts that lack CMake project files. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Following the introduction of QKeyCombination, reduce the number of warnings raised by the test. Drive-by, remove some pointless math like Qt::SHIFT+0, which does not make any sense and would actually fail to compile (shortly). Refactoring the test to fully use QKeyCombination (instead of ints) is left as a future exercise; some QKeyCombination->int warnings are still around. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Qt::UNICODE_ACCEL had no effect since at least Qt 4.0. We can drop it in Qt 6. The whole Qt::Modifier enumeration is still widely used, so we can't drop it yet, but we should aim at doing so in Qt 7. Add a note. [ChangeLog][QtCore][Qt::Modifier] The Qt::UNICODE_ACCEL enumerator has been removed. It had no effect since Qt 4.0. [ChangeLog][QtCore][Qt::Modifier] Usage of the enumerators in the Qt::Modifier enumeration is discouraged. The enumeration will likely get removed in the next major version of Qt. | * Fix window shortcuts when a completer popup has focusVolker Hilsheimer2019-06-251-0/+26
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The completer popup has focus, making QShortcut direct to it's window rather than to the window the completer belongs to. As QShortcut handles the case for Tool windows that have a parent, but doens't do the same for popups. And they shouldn't be treated the same way, as a context menu popup for a e.g. text edit should in fact block the text edit's shortcuts while open. However, the completer popup is special, in that it explicitly makes the widget completes for its focusProxy, which is what we can use to fix this issue. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | It's a Qt 3 compatibility vehicle, and as such inherits the now-alien property to distinguish empty and null strings. Particularly worrisome is the following asymmetry: QString("") == QString::null // false QString("") == QString(QString::null) // true Instead of fixing this behavior, recognize that people might use it as a weird way to call isNull(), albeit one that once was idiomatic, and simply deprecate everything that deals with QString::null. [ChangeLog][QtCore][QString] QString::null is now deprecated. When used to construct a QString, use QString() instead. When used to compare to a QString, replace with QString::isNull().
