| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | border Those values must be scaled to device coordinates - otherwise borders, margins etc. will be too small when rendered on high dpi devices (printers etc.). This change will add the scaling to those values. QTextDocument::print applies 2cm margins to the root frame of a unpaginated QTextDocument. Those margins were previously scaled to device coordinates in order to give the correct result. But because scaling is now done inside QTextDocumentLayout that scaling must be removed and pixel values based on qt_defaultDpi are provided instead. * Finish deprecating obsolete members of QWheelEventShawn Rutledge2019-07-121-2/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In Qt 5.0, delta() and orientation() were already marked obsolete, but Widgets and tests have kept on depending on them all this time. We now start using alternative API so they can really be deprecated. All constructors except the newest one are also deprecated. The plan is for all events from pointing devices to have QPointF position() and globalPosition(), so we deprecate the other position accessors. [ChangeLog][QtGui] Obsolete constructors and accessors in QWheelEvent now have proper deprecation macros. What is left is intended to be compatible with planned changes in Qt 6. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When using a texture for foreground color in text and copy-pasting the text inside the same QTextEdit, the formatting would disappear. Fixing this in a general way would require implementing some other carrier format in the mime data than HTML, such as e.g ODF, but it can quite easily be fixed for the case where the data is pasted in the same document, or even different documents as long as they have a reference to the image in the formats. | * Fix char format of preedit text in empty text blockEskil Abrahamsen Blomfeldt2017-03-201-0/+236
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When a text block is empty, and we are adding preedit text to it, we need to merge the format of the preedit text with the current format of the cursor, otherwise we will use a default format and then suddenly switch to the proper one when the text is committed. The reason this becomes a bit complex is that there are no rules preventing someone from using several ime attributes to specify formats for isolated parts of the text, and no rules defining the order of such attributes. So even if the common case is one text format attribute for the entire string, we need to make sure we also handle the other cases gracefully, e.g. when we are setting different formats for different substrings and then providing these out of order. To make sure we have these corner cases covered, we also add a set of autotests. [ChangeLog][Qt Widgets][TextEdit] Fixed initial char format of input method text as it is in pre-edit mode. |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | It's a Qt 3 compatibility vehicle, and as such inherits the now-alien property to distinguish empty and null strings. Particularly worrisome is the following asymmetry: QString("") == QString::null // false QString("") == QString(QString::null) // true Instead of fixing this behavior, recognize that people might use it as a weird way to call isNull(), albeit one that once was idiomatic, and simply deprecate everything that deals with QString::null. [ChangeLog][QtCore][QString] QString::null is now deprecated. When used to construct a QString, use QString() instead. When used to compare to a QString, replace with QString::isNull(). * remove finishEdit() call, fix double textChanged on deleteGraham Coleman2013-11-211-0/+15
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There is a known bug where duplicate textChanged signals are triggered on backspace/delete. The bug has been seen on Windows, Mac, and Linux. Gabi showed that this duplicate signal is caused by two calls to finishEdit(), one direct and one nested, in QTextCursorPrivate::remove(). To attempt a fix, I removed the direct call and do not change the nested call. This change only affects text buffers when they receive remove commands. This seems to fix the problem, shown by the test project uploaded to the bug tracker and also in countTextChangedOnRemove in tests/auto/widgets/widgets/qtextedit/tst_qtextedit.cpp. Further analysis of finishEdit() and QTextCursorPrivate::remove(): finishEdit() calls signals contentsChanged() as long as a valid block is being edited. Remove() calls finishEdit for all non-table edits, so finishEdit will be called for most cases. Methods in the public QTextCursor all seem to set adjusted_anchor and anchor, none reading it directly, so I haven't found publicly observable consequences to "adjusted_anchor = anchor = position;". * Auto tests: revise cursor dependant testsJ-P Nurmi2012-10-131-2/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Cursor dependant auto tests are currently skipped in various ways. Some are checking PlatformQuirks::haveMouseCursor() that tries to detect if the desktop environment is MeeGo, using obsolete Q_WS_X11. Some are skipped if QT_NO_CURSOR or Q_OS_WINCE is defined and some are actually missing the approriate guards. => unify by defining QTEST_NO_CURSOR in qtest-config.h when appropriate ie. for platforms that have no regular mouse cursor support or when QT_NO_CURSOR is defined. * Revert "Handle additional format ranges when itemizing."Pierre Rossi2012-10-101-4/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | This reverts commit 101d04681f4ceb7410681eae684534a206a9d90a. That change seems to have introduced a few regressions, and Creator hits an assertion that it introduced because it assumes the additionalFormats consists of well-formed ranges (QTCREATORBUG-7995). * Handle additional format ranges when itemizing.Pierre Rossi2012-10-081-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is useful when the additional formats are used on a text layout using a raw font. It can also come in handy for input methods operating on a QTextDocument. We now consider all format range edges to generate the associated items. The capitalization can be overridden via the additionnal formats mechanism. Adds an autotest that checks that this works with font capitalization. Change-Id: I782d2c48d05b0dfbad480a9ca77198465292b358 Reviewed-by: Konstantin Ritt <ritt.ks@gmail.com>
