* Introduce QGlyphRun::stringIndexes()Eskil Abrahamsen Blomfeldt2022-09-291-1/+27
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This introduces a way to trace each entry in the glyph index array to a specific index in the original text passed to QTextLayout, as well as a convenience function to access the original string from the QGlyphRun. The index information is stored in the logClusters array internally in Qt, but it contains the inverse information: For each character in the output string, it contains an index into the glyph array. In order to get the string indexes for each glyph, which makes a lot more sense in the context of the QGlyphRun API, we need to do a little search to construct the data. To avoid adding unnecessary allocations, we make the new APIs opt-in. If you do not specify anything, you will only get the glyph indexes and glyph positions as before. However, you can now specify exactly which parts of the layout to extract using an optional flags parameter. This also adds a manual test which can be very handy to visualize QTextLayouts and how they are split into QGlyphRuns. * Add qtguiglobal.h and qtguiglobal_p.hLars Knoll2016-07-031-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The new modular configuration system requires one global header per module, that is included by all other files in this module. A similar scheme and naming convention is already being used for many other modules (e.g. printsupport, qml, quick). That header will later on #include the configuration file for Qt Gui. For now it defines the Q_GUI_EXPORT macro for this library. In addition, add a private global header, qtguiglobal_p.h, that can later on include the private config header for Qt Gui for things we don't want to export to the world. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The QTextLayout::FormatRange is larger than void* and thus should not be held in QList. Use a QVector instead. Other parts of Qt already hold FormatRanges in QVectors, so this also makes handling FormatRanges more consistent. To avoid ugly names for the getter which doesn't overload on return type alone), rename the set of function to format (from additionalFormats). [ChangeLog][QtGui][QTextLayout] Added QVector-based alternatives setFormat(), format(), and clearFormat() to setAdditionalFormats(), additionalFormats(), and clearAdditionalFormats(), resp. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Bidi input can in some contexts be more intuitive if the cursor works in visual way: pressing left arrow key always make cursor move one character to the left regardless the language of text, pressing right arrow key always make cursor move to the right. It is also the behavior of Mac OS X. Based on the above reason and requests from Symbian we implemented this support for visual movement in BIDI text. 3 public properties are added to QTextDocument, QTextLayout and QLineEdit respectively: - QTextDocument::defaultCursorMoveStyle can be used to control the cursor behavior in all widgets based on QTextDocument, like QTextEdit, QPlainTextEdit, etc. When set to QTextCursor:: Visual, it will enable visual movement for all the cursors in the corresponding text edit. Default is QTextCursor::Logical. - QTextLayout::cursorMoveStyle is used for low-level cursor manipulation. When set to Visual, it will enable visual movement behavior for all the cursor related methods, including cursorToX, xToCursor and drawCursor. Default is Logical. - QLineEdit::cursorMoveStyle is used to control cursor movement behavior in QLineEdit.
