* Blacklist tst_QGuiEventLoop::processEvents on QNXVolker Hilsheimer2023-11-221-0/+14
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The test log shows flaky failures of this test several times a day on QNX, so blacklist it. To do that, we need to be able to isolate the "GUI" mode of this test. To do that, add a single data tag that depends on whether the test project is built for GUI or Core, and blacklist only the "gui" data tag. * qcore_unix: port qt_safe_poll to QDeadlineTimerAhmad Samir2023-10-241-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Remove qt_poll_msecs() since the "forever" state can be simply expressed with a QDeadlineTimer::Forever arg, instead of passing a nullptr timespec, and the negative timeouts treated as "run forever" is also encapsulated by QDealineTimer. Use the QDealineTimer(qint64) constructor in the call sites where the timeout could be negative, so that it creates a Forever timer (the QDeadlineTimer(chrono::duration) constructor uses setRemainingTime(duration) which handles negative timeouts by creating expired timers). Remove qt_gettime() (and do_gettime()). Drive-by changes: - Fix a narrowing conversion warning, qt_make_pollfd() takes an int - Remove an unused include Change-Id: I096319af5e191e28c3d39295fb1aafe9d69841e6 Reviewed-by: Thiago Macieira <thiago.macieira@intel.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a semantic patch using ClangTidyTransformator as in qtbase/df9d882d41b741fef7c5beeddb0abe9d904443d8, but extended to handle typedefs and accesses through pointers, too: const std::string o = "object"; auto hasTypeIgnoringPointer = [](auto type) { return anyOf(hasType(type), hasType(pointsTo(type))); }; auto derivedFromAnyOfClasses = [&](ArrayRef<StringRef> classes) { auto exprOfDeclaredType = [&](auto decl) { return expr(hasTypeIgnoringPointer(hasUnqualifiedDesugaredType(recordType(hasDeclaration(decl))))).bind(o); }; return exprOfDeclaredType(cxxRecordDecl(isSameOrDerivedFrom(hasAnyName(classes)))); }; auto renameMethod = [&] (ArrayRef<StringRef> classes, StringRef from, StringRef to) { return makeRule(cxxMemberCallExpr(on(derivedFromAnyOfClasses(classes)), callee(cxxMethodDecl(hasName(from), parameterCountIs(0)))), changeTo(cat(access(o, cat(to)), "()")), cat("use '", to, "' instead of '", from, "'")); }; renameMethod(<classes>, "count", "size"); renameMethod(<classes>, "length", "size"); except that the on() matcher has been replaced by one that doesn't ignoreParens(). a.k.a qt-port-to-std-compatible-api V5 with config Scope: 'Container'. Added two NOLINTNEXTLINEs in tst_qbitarray and tst_qcontiguouscache, to avoid porting calls that explicitly test count(). * Remove timer checks from testQuitLockMorten Johan Sørvig2017-08-221-13/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This test sets up two timers: - a 100ms recurring timer - a series of 10 200ms single-shot timers. After quitLock lets exec() return it then uses a signal spy to check if the 100ms timer fired at least 17/20 of the times it should. However there is no guarantee that the 100ms timer will fire more often than the 200ms timer. If the native timer callbacks happen at 500ms intervals then Qt will fire both timers (once) at that interval. In practice this seems to happen on macOS CI under system load and/or with the test app napping. The primary goal for the test is to verify that exec() returns when it should; we can remove the timer signal spy. Remove testQuitLock from BLACKLIST. * Fix race condition in the processEvents testMorten Johan Sørvig2017-07-191-5/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This test verifies processEvents(WaitForMoreEvents) behavior by first processing all pending events (in a loop) and then verifying that a following processEvents call actually waits. But there is no guarantee that the OS won’t introduce more events after the first loop has completed. This does indeed seem to happen on recent versions of macOS. Change the test to not require that the processEvents call blocked and de-blacklist. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The testcase always returns the expected result, independently of the QEventLoop::ExcludeSocketNotifiers flag to processEvents. * Remove SkipMode parameter from QSKIP calls.Jason McDonald2011-10-211-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | The previous commit removed SkipMode from the testlib APi. This commit removes the parameter from all calls to QSKIP. Task-number: QTBUG-21851, QTBUG-21652 Change-Id: I21c0ee6731c1bc6ac6d962590d9b31d7459dfbc5 Reviewed-by: Rohan McGovern <rohan.mcgovern@nokia.com>
* Remove DEPENDS_ON from qtestlib API.Jason McDonald2011-10-191-4/+0
| | | | | | | | | | The DEPENDS_ON macro didn't do anything and has misled many users to think that they can write test functions that depend on other test functions. Task-number: QTBUG-21851 Change-Id: Ibe65b2d5d88bb81b6a0ebbe0b220f7d409a1446c Reviewed-by: Rohan McGovern <rohan.mcgovern@nokia.com>
* Move QTRY_VERIFY/QTRY_COMPARE into testlib.Jason McDonald2011-10-191-2/+0
| | | | | | | | These functions have lived in tests/shared/util.h for a long time, but they really belong in qtestlib. Change-Id: I60d569d002dea220b51563931d8b7aa77a20b98b Reviewed-by: Rohan McGovern <rohan.mcgovern@nokia.com>
* Avoid using QSKIP in lieu of compile-time checksJason McDonald2011-10-051-8/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | QSKIP is intended to be used to skip test functions that are found at run-time to be inapplicable or unsafe. If a test function can be determined to be inapplicable at compile-time, the entire test function should be omitted instead of replacing the body of the test function with a QSKIP, which only serves to slow down test runs and to inflate test run-rates with empty, inapplicable tests.
